For 23 years, this family business has been bringing Central Florida gorgeous antiques and expertly-designed European reproductions. The Winter Park location is filled with beautiful finds and wonderful ideas. As you browse through their showroom you’ll quickly see that each area is decorated as if it were in someone’s home which is fantastic if you are trying to redecorate and need some inspiration. The pieces, for the most part, are labeled with the price and whether or not it’s authentic– in other words, if it is an antique versus a reproduction. I am by no means an antique specialist so I cannot say with certainty that the reproductions truly mirror the real things. Yet, on the surface, they seemed just as gorgeous as the originals and just as worthy of being purchased. They carried quite a bit of wood pieces in Pine, Cherry & Oak. They mostly came in the form of hutches, chairs, dining sets, entertainment units and bed frames. One of my favorite dining room tables was extremely long with a soft finish. It looked as if it could seat about 8 people and was priced at $ 1900, just for the table. Each chair cost $ 200 and was sold separately. I also enjoyed a street lamp($ 900) that looked as if it had been uprooted from its home in London. I am not too sure of the details, but I do know that they, with the help of computer technology, can bring to life your custom design ideas. A cool way to bring about your own masterpiece with the help of professionals.

I walked in Maurice’s while shopping for a new bedroom dresser. They have a showroom full of nice wood pieces and a unique collection of accents, too. Even though almost everything in the store is way out of my price range, I don’t think it’s too expensive because the pieces appear to be well-made antiques produced from quality wood.
