Heard of Shake Shack from a NPR segment and since there aren’t any in my home area I was anxious to give it a try. Parking lot was limited and crowded. Restaurant was clean and attractive, the clerk was friendly. The burgers and shakes were very good. The outside seating area was nice and overlooked the lake. Glad to have given it a try, but unless you have to have the«healthy«aspect and enjoy spending more than you would anywhere else…

Fun place for an old fashioned, fresh cheeseburger. Prices may seem high, but consider that you’re eating all natural hormone free meat. The menu is all al a carte, so we ordered two sides of fries to split between four people and it was more than enough. I had the cheeseburger with the deep fried portobello mushroom. It was gooey and yummy! They have free soda drink refills. My kids loved the draft root beer. For four people(no kids menu) it was $ 42. A little pricey but very tasty. Beautiful lake view and nice outdoor patio with water feature.

So I’ve attached a picture of my food, which says way more than I ever can. I received what looked like a burnt piece of cardboard between two smushed up buns. Chicken was dark brown not golden, and was about ¼ in thick. Far from the thick juice chicken sandwich they promote. For $ 6.xx I will never go back again. I’d rather eat a gas station chicken sandwich

More expensive than your average burger joint but it’s totally worth it. They use high quality ingredients. Their beef contains no hormones and no antibiotics. The special thing about this location is that you can enjoy your meal outside while overlooking the lake. It’s beautiful and romantic, especially if you come here at night.

The lake view is nice. The staff is very friendly. However I have to be honest and say the seating is uncomfortable. The burgers and fries are good, but basic at best. I ended up paying $ 12.33 for a single cheeseburger, cheesy fry and small iced tea. A bit expensive I feel. I don’t normally like to leave such a review, but I think it helps others. I had wanted to try it for quite awhile. None the less, I’m glad I did.

Shake Shack is pretty delicious if your ideal burger is cheesy and greasy goodness on a soft bun. My husband is obsessed and would likely eat here every week if he could. It doesn’t hurt that this location has lake side seating while you chomp away. Similar to BurgerFi which came to Winter Park first, Shack Shack is more known nationwide offering a short menu that focuses on burgers. Fries come crinkle cut so a little less natural of an offering but still tasty if you don’t mind that they are unnaturally cut. They recently added a chicken sandwich to the menu here which I have yet to try. Ice cream and milkshakes are very delicious including custom options and flavors of the week. My only complaint is the burgers are a little too greasy/juicy most times for my personal liking. The bottom bun of your burger is likely to be heavily soaked but not fully soggy by the time your meal is served. I find it a little overwhelming sometimes but have never had a full on soggy bun. Most definitely worth a try if you are a burger lover.

This is one of my favorite burger places in town. Parking isn’t as bad as it used to be. I guess the hype has kinda died down since they opened last year. Food is still awesome. And the view of Lake Killarney is pretty amazing. Staff are friendly and oh that smores(shake of the week) milkshake… You must try it!

The big problem for me was the veggie burger situation. There is none. The only meatless sandwich option is a portobello mushroom, which can only be deep fried. I opted for a grilled cheese instead, which at $ 3 was mediocre at best. My Mom ordered a cheese burger and asked to add grilled mushrooms and onions. No mushrooms to be had(aside from the fried portobello burger) and the only grilled onion option was premixed with bacon pieces as part of another burger promotion. Figuring we were clearly missing something with the burger experience we thought we would try a chocolate shake. I’m glad we got just one to share. It tasted like it might as well have come from Burger King. And no part of this meal was inexpensive. I have no idea how this place got its name, it is terrible at both burgers and shakes. I have no interest in even giving it a second chance.

Compelled to add a review because I am floored at this place only having 3-stars! Parking: Half the bad reviews are about parking in the plaza… Well what do you expect? Is there ever easy parking in Orlando? At peak times its going to get a little difficult but you’ll find something after a few minutes. Staff: some people say their rude? Really? I go to Shake Shack all the time and find everyone extremely nice and helpful. I always see them cleaning too both behind the counter and the tables. Food: well I’ve said I go here a lot so I guess you can tell the food is good. I personally love it. Have never had anything bad there yet. From delicious burgers(try a shackmeister off menu) to dogs, concretes, fries and the heavenly special sauce! I love they that accommodate special requests and my mouth is watering for my next visit. Now if you compare… Less greasy & seemingly better quality than five guys; less options than burgerfi(not a bad thing, makes them more consistent)! Prices are perfectly fine! Not cheap though. But NONE of the«specialty burger» places are! So I don’t get why people complain?! So there’s my review… Try out the food you’ll love it! You just have to forgive for a parking lot they cannot control & the occasional mess your fellow humans leave(staff can’t jump every time someone walks out the door)

My boyfriend and I went after after a trip to Trader Joes and we loved it! The burgers are so good and juicy, we also got a side of fries to share. Along with our meals we obvious had to get some shakes he got vanilla and i got Carmel they we both amazing. It’s also nice because they have complementary water set up for you so you can take as much as you want. Some of the tables were dirty that’s why I’m not giving 5 stars. You also have the option to sit outside with tables they have set up and the view is gorgeous. Over all nice place.

Food was overpriced and very plain. Paid almost $ 30 for a beer, lemonade(which was awful), chicken sandwich, burger & an order of fries. The view is nice but that’s about it. I was expecting much more for being my first time at a Shake Shack, but I won’t be back unless it’s in NYC.

The real deal — of the increasingly crowded slightly above fast food burger joints like 5 guys, burgerfi etc Shake Shack is hands down the best in my opinion. Burgers are great and are the perfect size, hot dogs and cheese fries are also excellent as is the new ChickenShack, the best pseudo fast food chicken sandwich I’ve ever had(crushes chik fil a). Can’t beat the location on the lake. People complain about parking and it is crowded but I have never had a problem finding a space, think the parking problem is way overblown. Service is slower than fast food but not too slow considering it’s made to order, place is clean etc. I will continue to be coming here for my burger and now chicken sandwich fix. 5 stars for shake shack.

If you’re looking for an upscale Steak and Shake, look no further. They’re a little overpriced, but still a favorite of mine. Very fresh burgers and fries. I keep it simple with a Shackburger and fries when I go. I also really enjoy their cookie dough custard. The one downside to this location is the crazy parking situation. They share a lot with Trader Joe’s and both places are always packed. I’ve often had to park down the street at other businesses.

Definitely A-Ok place for a burger. Like others have said, you’ll struggle in this parking lot. We went at 11 on a Sunday and took a few laps before something opened up. There was no line once inside so all good there. Staff wasn’t super friendly but not rude either. Burgers did take time to get but they are made fresh so no biggie. They are also really good. Bun is a great compliment to burger size. Toppings were all fresh and tasty. The fries were a miss. I enjoy crinkle cut but these were over cooked and didn’t love them for the added price. I’ll skip them next go. View is awesome. Overlooks the lake. If it’s nice, sit outside. Overall: B Recommend the burger and view, not the fries or parking issues.

I had heard of Shake Shack but didn’t know when I would have the chance to actually try one. We were in Orlando a few months back and it popped up on my radar when I was looking for a place to grab a snack on the way home. I simply stopped in for some fries to snack on, but because they were so busy it took a little longer than I would have hoped. Plus, with the Trader Joe’s in the same center, parking was an experience. However, my second visit was a lot smoother. Found a spot right near the restaurant entrance and it wasn’t crowded at all. It probably does help that I was there at a very off-time: super late lunch or early dinner depending on how you look at it. With a limited menu of options — like In-N-Out, it wasn’t too hard to figure out what I wanted to nosh on. I went with the Roadside Shack they had advertised on posters. Caramelized onions simmered in beer & bacon? No second thoughts on that one. Part of me thinks I would have had a five star experience with a double patty, but my gut is very happy I went with the basic single. The crinkle fries were golden crisp as I remembered them the first time. And their house brew — Shackmeister by Brooklyn Brewery — was a great match for my burger stop. The price is a little higher than some other similar burger joints, but it’s definitely towards the top of my list as one of the better burgers I’ve had.

My favorite burger joint in all of Orlando/Winter Park. I am not a burger enthusiast, but I have tried a lot of burgers around town and to me, Shake Shack’s is hands down the best. This is in comparison to BurgerFi, Burger 21, Smash Burger, Beth’s Burgers, Junior’s Colombian Burgers, BB Junction, Graffiti Junktion, Hamburger Mary’s, 5 Guys and Downtown Pourhouse. Their recipe is kept simple and they have a high quality of ingredients. I know the other places do too but something about their burgers just taste better to me. From the meat, bun, cheese and sauce, the combo is perfection and I’m drooling just thinking about it. I love this location too as it is right on the lake and they have a fun game area outside too!

I’m not sure why but I didn’t expect much from this place. I mean, Burger Fi wasn’t all that amazing so how good can this place be? Man was I dead wrong. I feel like Shake shack was an experience. Breakdown is as follows: The Décor: I really dug the décor. I saw«dug» because this place gives off this cool-graphics vibe. I really liked the murals on the walls. Even the tables and chairs added to the laid back vibe. It was a «shack» without looking like a shack. Oh and there’s ping pong! That’s what sealed the deal for me. The ping pong table was like a flashback into my childhood! I LOVED that table. I thought it was sooo cool. Not to mention in the back, next to the ping pong table, is a gorgeous view of the lake. I want here late at night so I didn’t get the beautiful sunset, but I think it was still serene and beautiful. Who doesn’t like sitting next to a lake while they eat their food? The Service: Can’t really judge this place on service because after you order your food there is no service. However, I do love that there are separate lines to order food depending on if you want just a drink or to order food. It made it super fast if you just wanted a shake after dinner that way it didn’t take an extra 5 – 10 minutes in line. The Food: In my opinion the only way that Shake Shack stays open is it’s food. Most people stay close to downtown for food, so in order for a burger place to draw a crowd away from there you better have amazing food. Boy did they deliver. The burgers were on point: juicy, cooked perfectly, and topped with the softest bun I’ve ever had. I had a problem with the lack of texture to the bun. About half way through the burger I felt that the bun was kind of a hindrance. But I still loved the burger. And the fries… oh the fries… I must find out their secret for keeping them so crispy and non greasy. They need to teach a class on how to make the most awesome fries. I don’t even like crinkle cut fries but I gobbled up those crispy taste of heaven. Then I ordered a shake. Just drop the mic ok? We get it Shake Shack. You’re the best. Tell your friends, Overall I really loved the Shake Shack. The only reason I took away a star was for the bun in the hamburger. I really wish Unilocal would let us give half stars. Maybe that will be available in the next update.*hint* I would highly recommend a visit to Shake Shack to anyone. It truly is a gem of the city and so far the best burger I’ve had in Orlando.

So, I had to check out the Shake Shack and see what all the hype is about. I live in Cali, so I’m mostly dining at In-n-Out when I need my burger fix, but some of my friends swear by Shake Shack, so I had to try it for myself. Bottom line: they are serving really good burgers here… but they’re kind of pricey. I had a Shack Burger, and it’s a small burger with not much to it. It’s simple, the bread is good, the burger was juicy, good flavor, and the fries were dope too. They have custard shakes, so we sprung for a shake… pretty good. You can try a variety of toppings without ur shake too… good stuff. This place has a dope location. They have outdoor seating on the lake, and many of the tables inside also have a nice view of the lake. It’s great! I would come back, but not too often. It’s a little expensive for what it is.

Fantastic burgers made simple with quality ingredients. Shake Shack is my go to place to satisfy a cheeseburger craving. Of course, I make sure to coordinate my time of arrival to avoid any parking issues and long lines. I believe I have tried every burger and hot dog on the menu. The ShackBurger and SmokeShack are my absolute favorites on the menu. Both burgers are simple and that’s the way I like it. The simplicity allows the burger patty to be on center stage while those buns cheer it on. The crinkle cut fries are… eh. You know, not good, but not bad, so just eh. The top two complaints I’ve read on ShakeShack has do with the parking and pricing. However, I wouldn’t blame ShakeShack for the horrible parking issue and the way they price their items. It may seem expensive to pay $ 7 for a single burger or $ 10 for double burger but the way most burger joints are priced nowadays, it’s quite normal. Red Robbin, BurgerFi, Burger 21, and even burgers at BJ’s Brewhouse are priced around the $ 7-$ 10 range if not more. If you want a cheap burger then just head over to Wendy’s or any other fast food joint and grab a burger. But even then, you’ll be paying around $ 5 – 6 for a «higher end» burger from a fast food restaurant.

Shake Shack is located in great area of Winter Park. The only thing that I think hurts the place is the parking. It is located in the same shopping plaza with Trader Joe’s and to find parking there is a nightmare. I was lucky the day I went and found parking very fast. I had been to Shake Shack before but wanted to get a milkshake. The milkshake was very good but to be honest $ 5.00 for a small milkshake is a bit pricey. The restaurant itself is very nice, you have the choice of patio seating or inside seating which I thought was neat. the service was good also. I really like the fact that they have 2 lines, one to order food and the other for milkshakes, custards, drinks, desserts etc for people who are not getting food. This is a nice restaurant to come and grab a quick bite but I would recommend doing so during the week because you have a better chance of getting a parking spot.

I’m sorry. But I dont understand why people love their burgers so much. Ok, they care about products and everything. But burgers have no favor at all… A good burger for me is that one u dont need lots of sauce or ketchup or stuffs like that.
