SMC is my favorite coffee/study spots in Orlando! Hands down the coffee here will make your pants fly right off. The pananis are amazing too, I have came in many times just to get lunch. This place has a very cool and laid back and clean atmosphere, with local artwork all around. Not to mention they also have live music and open mic nights. The staff are friendly and personable and the service is outstanding. Every time I go here I leave feeling great!!! This is the place to go if you need to get some work done and have some coffee or tea while you’re at it. Cheers!

My favorite T. V show I would have to say is F.R.I.E.N.D.S, makes me laugh every time I see it and Sleeping Moon Café reminds me them when they are at the coffee shop«Central Perk.» The staff is amazing with wonderful service and their coffees delish! and I wouldn’t lie on that because I am a true coffee drinker(to the point I get caffeine headaches when I don’t have coffee in a day). I’ve been there a few times to study and do homework since I am Photography student, so the environment definitely helps to focus. I was also there one time on Tuesday for ‘Open Mic’ with my cousin and we had so much fun. From music to poems you are able to see the talent some people bring to share with the audience, while enjoying good coffee or food if you’re hungry. I suggest for people to come check this place out if you’re into Art, need to study, want to share your talent or just want to come meet with someone while sipping on some coffee.

Staff is very friendly and knowledgable on their coffees. They had no problems making recommendations and creating a custom drink based off my tastes of preference. Atmosphere is eclectic with upbeat but relaxing music and local artwork on the walls. Very good vibe and delicious coffee. I would definitely return.

This place has one of the best Thai tea I’ve ever had. Their smoothies are delicious as well. I really like their menu and the fact that you can kind of build your own meal as well. They’ve got some vegan options also. They had live music when we went, and he was pretty good. Not too loud to hold a conversation but overall good music. They also provide free wifi so you can be productive and snapchat and ig your life away while you are enjoying your time there.

I’m writing this review as a sip a perfectly made cappuccino that I just bought here. A triple shot cappuccino that cost me around $ 4.00. Juan had a Turkish Coffee($ 3.50). Juan also had a blueberry muffin, which was tasty and very fluffy. All and all, our bill was less than three dollars. Service was good, but a bit slow. However, the ambiance here is very relaxing(At least on a Sunday) and it’s perfect to sit down and do some studying or chat over a cup of coffee. Baristas were polite and happy to help.

Absolutely phenomenal, ordered a build your own style panini with chicken, bacon, havarti and cheddar cheese with jalapeños and ranch, it came out pretty quick and was HUGE and the most important part, it was delicious! Also had an iced white chocolate latte, very delicious. Staff was extremely friendly and explained how the business worked and also explained about the different events they do each day and through the month. A very fun atmosphere and a gorgeous location, must stop by any time of day but I recommend the nights so you can catch one of the events.

Great atmosphere! It’s one of those cafes where if you ask, they will make it for you! Even if it isn’t on the list. They also show events of what is happening in the area or the surrounding area, which is cool because not many places do that. Free wi-fi, outlets & cozy couches! Very quiet as well.

I love this place and am becoming a regular. Their coffee is great, their food is great. So I’m disappointed to say that when I arrived today(about 12pm on a Tuesday) the door was locked and lights off. They should be open, and their open sign is on. I know unpredictable things happen, and it’s probably not intentional, but it is inconvenient.

Absolutely love the ambiance, artwork, salmon wrap and coffee. Seriously, the coffee… Stellar time indulging with the giant coffee mug. Americano with Irish cream is a comfortingly yummy basic.

I am normally a positive reviewer making sure to give kudos whenever I can, but so disappointed in this place. This is the 3rd time I’ve come in the last few months and they aren’t open when their hours say they will be. Hours 10 to 10, it’s 10:20 and no sign of anyone. Stopped in on Sunday and live music was so loud it was beyond unpleasant. Band was great, but way too loud for such a small space. Also, never saw an employee, so left after standing at the counter for over 5 minutes with no tea and less hearing :/ Their food is good and I prefer supporting local establishments, but they need to make some changes to make it worth coming in.

I love the atmosphere of this place. It’s calm enough to get work done and study, but entertaining enough while you’re with friends. There is a lot on the menu, so there are many things to try each visit. So far, the lattes that I have tried were never a disappointment. I tried the lavender latte on my first visit and a dirty chai on my second visit. Both were smooth tasting and beautifully presented in a large mug so it is worth the price! The only thing I’d be concerned about is the timing. The first visit, I had to wait maybe about 10 – 15 mins. Second visit it was more prompt since there were two people working that day. As for food, I tried their caprese panini and their black bean wrap. I wasn’t too impressed by the panini because it was a little too hearty for me with all the cheese and the oily bread wasn’t very appetizing. I’m sure you can try and request to have it less oiled up, the server seemed nice and helpful so I’m sure they’ll take it into consideration. As for the black bean wrap… DELISH! I would definitely order that again. I was hesitant to get it on a panini because of my first visit, so I decided on the wrap and I feel like it was the best decision I could have made. It is very savory with a hint of sweetness from honey mustard. All in all, come visit for yourself and see what they have to offer. My experience here is always pleasant.

First time visiting Sleeping Moon today. Kool Funky atmosphere with a nice selection of coffee, teas and eats. The food was delivered sporadically but was tasy. The service was friendly but could have been more attentive. We will be back again to take in some music and other entertainment that was promoted.

Came here yesterday for lunch. Atmosphere and décor is pretty cool, although it was quite incense-y when we came. The guy at the counter was really nice, and I ordered the Tony Montana, which is pretty much a Cuban. My sandwich was really good(I’d give that part 5 stars), although it just came with a side of blue tortilla chips. I could have used some salsa or something. It also took a REALLY long time to get our food, about 25 mins or so just for 3 paninis. I went with someone who had gone before, and she said that was unusual, so I’m not sure if there was a problem or what. Anyways, 3 out of 5 stars, I may be back to try a breakfast panini.

After a great lunch at The Meatball Shoppe I decided to just work from a coffee shop since I had a lot of «busy work» to do today. I remembered that Sleeping Moon Café was not too far away so off I went. When I pulled up the very first hing I saw was a bunch of potted plants to the left of the door that could use some help. That did not make for a great first impression but I never judge a book by its cover alone. When I walked inside I have to say was thinking WOW. The artwork on the walls just had me walking around taking pictures like a tourist. It came across as a hipster/beatnik theme with a lot of personality. One thing is for sure… I LOVED it. Once I was done feeling like a kid in a candy store I went up see what beverages they offered. The organic tea options were very nice so I decided to try one. Since this was my first trip here and I was not sure how long I would be staying, I just cashed out after my first purchase. I went and sat down on the sofa and powered up my laptop. I was disappointed that there were not any outlets there but I have a pretty good battery life on my laptop so it was not that big of a deal to me but it might be for some others. About 10 minutes later my tea was brought to me. I ordered the Razzlemint the and it smelled wonderful. I prefer a good tea plain so I can enjoy the subtle flavors and this particular tea has a natural sweetness with a slight flowery taste. I have to say it was something I will be looking for in the tea shop the next time I am running low. I got caught up in my work and decided to try the Hibiscus Heaven the second time. I elected to see if I could just run a tab and pay it out when I was ready to go. The young man just gave me some excuse about the manager and the register and I just walked away a little annoyed. I have been to several shops and if you are going to hang out for a while, most will wait on you at the table or just keep a total in the register and close you ring you out when finished. Not this kid… He made it clear that was just a manager only thing. He brought me my tea but the roll of the eyes at the register when he saw I did not leave a tip told the story let me know he was not pleased with me. The Hibiscus Heaven was a tad more flavorful than the Razzlemint but with a more refined floral taste. This was clearly going to be my favorite tea but after several glares from the young man that waited on me, another gentleman came over and asked if I was OK. I was observing and noticed how he made his way around the room so I had a feeling he was the manager. Turned out it was and his name was Mark. I let him know about the register incident and he said when my wife and I came back, it is not a problem at all. He apologized for the young man and handled the situation like a real pro. I get the feeling this is not the first time he has issues with people asking about running a tab based on how well he addressed the situation. I can easily overlook a few missed steps when the overall experience says: Come back, have more tea and I am looking forward to trying the Black Bean Burger because Mark made it sound awesome and the food I saw being served looked and smelled pretty good. On a final note… The Music was great and even a bit soothing but it could have been lowered by just a couple of decibels.

This is a beautiful café. It was loaded with beautiful art comfy furniture and a laid-back comfy atmosphere. I had the peanut butter cup shake which was absolutely delicious. I had already eaten dinner or I would’ve tried some of the sandwiches or rice bowls which looked really good. What does that mean? It means I definitely have to go back and try more. Also a great music venue. We saw Amy Steinberg play a live show which was excellent.

This is near my house so I finally decided to check it out. It had good reviews so I was excited to go. I paid $ 4 for my mango latte which was ok but disappointed that I had to wait over 20 minutes for my to go order. Needs more staff. Looks like a cool place to hang but not if you’re are in a time limit.

It’s kind of like stepping into your cool friend’s house with fun and interesting décor conversational pieces, a very comfortable couch, board games, and a nice selection of food. Appetizers, lunch, milk shakes, coffee and tea available. Food is OK, tried the SMCBLT and Vegan Rice Bowl with some hot chocolates with almond milk. The breakfast sandwich needed something and was borderline bland, which was also the main issue with the rice bowl but maybe breakfast is not when they’re at their best. Food took awhile because there was only 1 staff on but he was very good and attentive. Wish I could give more stars since I had a great time and felt very at home there but can’t ignore the 20+ minute wait for food and the food quality.

I grew up around the area and this café, though relatively new, has become part of my routine when I come back to the area. The chai is wonderful, and the owner and her son(?) are usually the people we see. It seems like a great place to study and do work and i haven’t been to an open mic night, but that would be great. There’s a lack of quaint cafes in the aloma and goldenrod/semoran/forsyth area so I’m very happy for it. I am already bored writing this review, but check it out. I hope it sticks around.

My first visit here was as soon as they opened. So there were about 5 customers and only one worker. Doesn’t sound too bad but they definitely need more people working here first thing in the Morning. This one person is the cashier, cook, barista, bus boy, and server. I read someone else’s review and they said to «ask for the coffee to be hot or else it’ll come room temperature bc of the slow service» this is true. Other than the delay the employee was friendly. I came here bc I purchased a Groupon voucher. I was informed that they never accepted them. Not sure why the owner would sign up for something they don’t intend on honoring. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, definitely not like Starbucks. They have a stage so I’m guessing there’s live music some nights. That would be interesting. My order took 47 minutes. I ordered a breakfast wrap($ 7 egg cheese turkey) added avocado and spinach so my order was a little over $ 9. You’re not given a receipt for whatever reason. I think if they owner staffed it properly there wouldn’t be such a long wait time. The wrap was ok but nothing extraordinary that merits a 47 minute wait. It wasn’t the employee’s fault. I wouldn’t go out of my way again to eat here.

I love every sandwich I’ve tried here. The black bean burger is definitely a highlight — the owner makes the patties herself with her own secret recipe and they are delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options. Cold brew coffee on tap. The soups are all really fresh and delicious! They also do student discounts for Full Sail and Aveda.

I’m torn. I love a good, local small business, but it sucks when things don’t quite meet my expectations. Sleeping Moon Café is a quaint little establishment, that offers good food and tasty coffee. My main gripe is that the pressed sandwiches are a little on the small side, especially given the pricing. When compared to other local businesses(say Pom Pom’s or Bikes, Beans, Bordeaux), I can’t help but feel a little shortchanged. In addition, service seemed a little slow. There was only one person in front of us(no other diners), and it seemed to take an awful long time to make two rueben sandwiches. If you can look past these things, the food itself is pretty yummy.

I absolutely adore the atmosphere at this place! Has a very magical feel with the chill ambiance and music. The guys working were all very friendly. I ordered an iced Thai tea and it was delicious. My husband ordered a panini that came with sliced turkey breast, havarti cheese, and house kiwi chutney on french bread. This sandwich was so good! Unfortunately I cannot say the same about what I ordered. I spotted a dish on the menu that came with poached eggs, smoked salmon and cream cheese and went with that. I had been really craving salmon and cream cheese so thought this was finally my chance to satisfy that craving. Then after waiting a while I was informed that they ran out of salmon. I was disappointed but understood and went with turkey and bacon instead. My plate came out with two small pieces of pressed bread topped with poached eggs, cream cheese, a small piece of turkey and some small pieces of bacon. Quite disappointing as the bacon tasted like it was microwaved and not very good at all, the bread was really tough and the poached egg yolks were over cooked so no gooey center as I think they should have been made. I am not sure if maybe the salmon might have saved this dish but doubtful since the eggs and the bread weren’t good. My next trip I’ll stick to a panini and skip the eggs.

One if the bests spots for a Coffee in the Orlando area and Winter Park. They have am artsy environment with great paintings and other art work. The music is usually very nice, and they have super comfy sofa. From the menu I will recommend the Avocado Bravado and the vegan burger. And they have soy milk available. Super friendly for vegans and vegetarians and coffee lovers in general. Also, they serve you coffee in mugs, which makes your experience so much better.

I’ve been here many times and everything was great from the staff to the food and drinks. My favorite is the Turkish coffee and being able to have my coffee grounds read after I’m done drinking it. …just make sure you don’t come here with your significant other to avoid any awkward situations! I loved how peaceful the place was and admire the art each time I’m there. The art work is by locals and even the owner of the café! While you may not have art you’d like to put up, you could also come on certain nights to enjoy some music or comedy by locals who have the courage to step up to the mic! I insist you try the Turkish coffee and have your coffee read… although I am not a fan of the piece of candy that comes with it. Also, try the teas! I love teas and their teas are some of my top choices!

Actually tried Sleeping Moon twice before, but my latest visit will be my final one. After reading great reviews, I wanted this place to start living up to expectations… but that never happened. In fact, this last experience reminds me of something said by the actor Walter Slezak(playing a private detective with quite malleable morals) in the noir movie Born to Kill: «As you grow older, you’ll discover that life is very much like coffee — the aroma is always better than the actuality.» So…my visit. Showed up at opening time(8am) and it was almost quarter past the hour when an employee came around to open the front door. Not an impressive start. On the good side, the breakfast panini I ordered was crunchy on the outside, great taste inside and hot throughout — unlike the coffee served. I thought of setting the cup on the sidewalk for awhile in the sun to heat it up, but instead left it untouched(after one sip) on my table. Speaking of tables, mine still had plenty of crumbs from the day before. Which put a damper my whole breakfast mood. Finally, the $ 20 bill that I handed to the cashier had to be taken somewhere(destination unknown) for change(took another quarter hour), because the till was apparently empty. Strange way to open a coffee shop for the day. Nicely decorated place, some comfy seating, and reliable internet — but poor service, tepid coffee, and one hopeful customer driven away for good.

I’ve found my new home away from home! After months of «studying»(read: procrastinating) at my apartment, Sleeping Moon has provided me with a place where I can concentrate and get some work done. Yay for my grades! The music is awesome, perfect for studying or socialization. The staff is super friendly and chill; they’ll come over and ask if you’re doing okay every so often. The atmosphere is warm and trendy. It’s not at all what you expect if you’re looking in from the outside. I stopped in yesterday to get some work done and have become a determined regular. This place is amazing, not only do they have super tasty sandwiches, but their tea is delicious. I tried their Green Belt Tea today(free refills, with the option of turning it into a slush for only $ 1) and it blew my mind. The walls are filled with an eclectic mix of art and pottery that somehow achieves harmony in this space. Red comfy couches sit in the center of the room, perfect for when you want to have a Friends(tv show) moment. There’s lots of seating if you want to study or have lunch with friends. But despite all the furniture, nothing feels crowded — it just feels cozy. Bonus points for having free wifi too. :) Gahhh, I’m so excited I found this place, I’ll probably be there every week. haha. Stop by and say hi!
