Tandy’s Leather Factory

I walked in to the Tandy store as a complete novice and had a wonderful encounter with the manager Kayla and a leather veteran, Tom! They took their time to help me, answer questions and even spent an hour tutoring me in hand seeing leather. I left the store full of ambition and came to quickly learn that the knowledge they shared with me saved me a great deal of ’ learning time’. I’m very happy with my projects because of them!
The selection in the store is terrific, the options to start small or go big in your investment are available. Swing by, chat with them, by a kit for your kids and start your own projects! Or take a look at their whole hides hanging in the back of the store and make something cool or use it as a rug. They are simply gorgeous!

Lately I’ve noticed that most of the men’s leather belts are garbage. Mostly paper with two thin skins made of leather. And they call this a belt.
I stopped here one afternoon to see if I can get a 100% leather belt. BINGO!
They have the unfinished leather all cut in the size that you need. Now this is a DIY store. You get your materials that you need, and make it yourself. You can even buy entire hides if you want to. I saw gun holsters, wallets, almost anything imaginable made of leather. All you have to do is finish it yourself.
I recommend that you seek advice so you do it properly. Friendly staff, always willing to help.

Wow! Leather mecca! At least for me, I’ve never seen a store dedicated to leather products and tools. This is awesome for a person starting to get into leatherwork. Andddddd they have kydex sheets! That’s awesome I think. They have all types of tools and buckles and rivets and grommets and anything else you might need for leather or kydex work. Prices are fair considering the uniqueness of the tooling. The staff was very friendly. The manager even took time to show me how to properly drive rivets and grommets into leather and kydex. Overall I happy I found this place! Would definitely recommend this place to all!

I’ve been shopping at this place for at least a decade. If there’s a piece of leather you need, they’re gonna have it. From scraps and straps to big rolled up sheets they have all your leather needs.
They also carry a ton of punch tools, stamps, carving tools, I mean everything. Dots, spots, pyramids, buckles, feathers…
Now don’t go thinkin «But Krista, I’m just not into all that country western type stuff». OH NO my friends, you can do anything to this stuff to make it your own. Handbags, coasters, wallets, belts (they have all the good spikes y’all) your only limitation is your own imagination. I needed a fat industrial 24″ zipper for a skirt and wouldn’t ya know it, boom. Hangin right up next to a bunch of cool ass rivets.
If you’re looking for a new hobby or you already love leather working, go check that place out. They’re a little pricey but so are all the other craft stores.
