Penobsot Bay Brewery is brewed in conjunction with Winterport Winery in cute, historic Winterport. Set off the side of the road overlooking Penobscot Bay, they offer a lot of selections(including blondes and wheats, which are often overlooked at other craft breweries). My husband found several stouts that he liked, but didn’t find their IPA had enough of a punch in the gut as others. I enjoyed the Humble B Honey Ginger the best as I had found it was the most true to flavor. A sampling of 4 beers is $ 3 but come in no rush for their is an art gallery and walls of wine, beer and supplies for purchase. At the register they even have some home-baked goods that shouldn’t be passed over. Once a month on a Saturday there is a wine/beer pairing over a home-cooked dinner prepared by two chefs. The menu for this upcoming dinner looked amazing, I wish I could attend. Definitely be sure to ask about that if that sounds like your cup of tea(which it should if you’re visiting a winery/craft beer brewery in the first place).
