Going in to Cody’s for their breakfast buffet feels like you’re stepping into a cozy home away from home. There are antiques, Sacramento King’s memorabilia, a piano, tv, animal heads on the walls, a breakfast buffet and lovely counter area with Fenton’s ice cream. My friend and I drove in from Woodland to try out Cody’s. She was in love with the décor(it reminded her of Amarillo, TX). When you order your breakfast buffet at the counter, you’ll also put in your order for pancakes(made to order). We filled up on bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, hashed browns, coffee, fruit and more. The woman who rung us up was friendly and made us feel welcome. For folks in Davis, Woodland and Sac who are up for a quick escape to somewhere unique that serves up a hearty breakfast visit Cody’s on a lazy Sunday. *My friend and I arrived around 10am on a Sunday and had no problems getting a table. The place seemed reasonably busy, but not packed, which works great for people who want to enjoy their buffet without waiting in long lines. It was great catching up with my friend over coffee at our quaint little table as we let our food digest. After your meal if you’re up for some shopping for accessories and antique jewelry at affordable prices, go right next door.(Can’t remember the name, but one look in the window and you’ll know what I’m talking about). The entire town of Winters makes for an enjoyable stroll about town. I was amazed at how nice the town looks and the quality of their businesses which include wine bars and a ceramics studio. Cody’s breakfast buffet is a great welcoming spot to start off your Winters experience.

4 words: Birthday Cake Ice Cream. I only had a scoop of ice cream there, but it was«Birthday Cake» ice cream and it was AWESOME. The staff were super friendly, and the people outside eating gave us a warm welcome to Winters CA.(we were just biking through on our way to Lake Berryessa) They have a food bar, which was inviting, but I had brought a burrito with me, so I didn’t get a chance to try it.

Tucked away I’m the city of Winters, this little buffet nook is worth a trip up here. Pure, wholesome, family style service. We came here after our tubing/camping trip this weekend and my husband saw a bright sign that had Cody’s $ 6.99 breakfast on it accompanied by a young fellow holding it. We were originally going to go to The Putah Creek Café but came here instead. I think it may have been the $ 6.99 that pushed us over mixed with the lingering famish amongst us all. The woman who owns the establishment, welcomed us as a mother would to sit down for a meal, explaining what was out and all the extra perks to eating here. The buffet included home cooked eggs, bacon, chorizo and eggs, biscuits and gravy(yes!), sausage, fresh fruit, fresh cinnamon rolls, personal plate of pancakes for the group and a drink for each *BIG open mouthed smile* All for $ 6.99!!! I really enjoyed the service: The original establishment which was passed down from parents before, used to be a liquor store. It burned down and they rebuilt it from scratch over a period of 6 years and it became a screen printing business turned restaurant/home of occasional treats. Hence, how we all got a FREE t-shirt at the end of our meal as well as some free fudge tastings.(MUST try the Baily’s fudge.) This is not a diner. It is a family owned business with history and I am so glad we found this diamond in the ruff. Dinner is also buffet and bring the whole family here when you take a visit. It will feel just like home and can’t wait to visit our new friends again. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!
