I’m a dry red wine fan and among all the wineries I have visited in the state of Iowa, Covered Bridges Winery offers the best. They have a great selection and they really focus on the wine vs. the elegance of a tasting room. Actually, that point is especially funny because when you drive up to the property, you think you are on a farmer’s private property. They have the tasting room in the back barn and its not fancy in the least. Again — they focus on the wine.
Super nice owners make this place a special stop for my wife and I, plus its on the path to seeing all the covered bridges of Madison County.
