Subway

My Daughter and I eat at subway quite a bit. I like that we can pick healthier options like the grilled chicken breast. She like the Flatizza pizza deal. Good fountain. Sodas. The folks behind the counter, usually high-​schoolers, do a pretty good job.

This Subway is great food-​wise, but the employees could definitely use a little buffing out. I have come here as long as I can remember, and almost every single time I have left happy about my food. The sandwiches are always tasty and the vegetables are always fresh. The bread used here is an A+. The people behind the counter are a different story. Most of workers here have the attitude of «I want to burn this place to the ground and kill you all» written all over their faces. There is a lot of chit chat behind the counter between workers while they are taking your requests and making your sandwich. One time while I was eating here, one of the men behind the counter asked me what a tattoo on my right arm meant, and after I explained to him the meaning he preceded to tell me that he had many tattoos hidden on his body. But that was just the beginning. After I had paid for my meal and sat down to eat, he proceeded to walk over to my table, lift his shirt in front of me and the entire restaurant full of people, and point out multiple tattoos on his chest and stomach. I almost threw up the small amount of food I had just begun to eat. In closing, this place has pretty good food that is served by some people that are in need of some help.

5 Stars for a Subway? Yes. In Winterset Iowa you don’t have a lot of choices for breakfast. The counter at the diner in the Rexall was packed so we decided on Subway. Super friendly service and fast. Love the Sub for breakfast.
