Cool authentic drive-in in Winthrop. This is a real drive-in with car hops and everything. The only this missing is roller skates. It is a real cool place with seating inside, carside, and on pick nick tables outside. We ate in the car with the trays that fit on the car windows. The burgers were very good, the blue cheese and bacon burger was excellent. The veggie burger was good, at least they had one. The fries could use some more salt or seasoning. The onion rings were just fair, too much breading. The mozzarella sticks were very good and got eaten first. It is a very cool place and if the food was just a tad bit better, I would have given it 4 stars.

Been there twice since moving to my new home and have been satisfied with the meal each time. Still haven’t had a chance to try their famous homemade ice cream, since the quantity of food in the main meal didn’t leave room for dessert. But the fried foods we enjoyed were crisp and greaseless(relatively), and my buger(though I ordered the blue cheese and bacon burger but was served a regular bacon cheeseburger, and the initial wait was long enough that I didn’t want to wait for a refire) was juicy, fresh and flavorful. I’ll definitely be back for another meal, and try to save room for ice cream!

I suppose the other reviews are family. I feel bad leaving a poor review but we drove considerably out of our way to come here based on glorified reviews. I had the chicken finger basket. I left most of my dinner on the table. The chicken was barely in the breading that was hard to chew. The coleslaw was warm and salty. Everything was low quality frozen foods. There was a tremendous amount of fruit flies. Sorry fast eddies. I hope this helps other travelers.

We were not expecting much of a drive in restaurant, and the menu was all the standard drive in food. But what we got was anything but standard. The burgers were nice and large, of good beef, cooked perfectly, and served on an excellent bun. The fries were excellent and not greasy. And then there are the ice cream sundaes. All I can say is don’t leave Eddies without one.

The food was really good and I got a lot for my money. I loved the theme of the restaurant and thought it was lovely. My chicken sandwich was perfect and my hot fudge sundae was huge! It took a while for me to get my food, but it was very busy that day. Regardless it was delicious!

Good food! The lobster roll is not really a «roll», more of a hamburger bun. The onion rings are wonderful! Prices reasonable, but go for the ice cream. Cheap, excellent quality, huge portions. A medium cone could fill three. The coffee is wonderful, as are all the flavors. Great hot fudge sunda, but the ice cream prices blow you away they are so good.

I should have known something was up when my frugal(to put it nicely) father offered to buy ice cream for 8 of us. The bill came to under $ 20. What?! Either they rang it up incorrectly, or this is the deal of the century. The old man said he always comes here for ice cream because they have the best prices around. My soft serve black raspberry cone was quite good, and my hubby’s chocolate shake was decent. Next time I’m in Maine, let’s go to Fast Eddies for some ice cream — my treat!

Excellent seafood and quick service. 1950’s atmosphere really give you a feel for what that time was like.
