Best roast beef around! Huge sandwiches with your choice if homemade horseradish sauce, BBQ or hit sauce. You can also get it with pulled pork or pastrami. The large(indeed!) is only $ 5.50 on a nice onion roll. Sub is just on a sub roll and bit more but I got the former. I didn’t try the fries, other sides or soups. Worth a small diversion to downtown Winthrop.

Pete’s saved the night. About to embark on a long drive and needed nourishment. Under the advice of the team of sandwich masters my wife and I got a Reuben and a roast beef… The Reuben was promised to be the best ever and it was. Roast beef was excellent and the two gents working were super friendly! A great spot and will swing through on our next visit to the area for some good eats. Thank you Pete’s !

Great place for a nice roast beef sammy. Reasonable prices and many portion options. I like to order the Roast Beef Jr without cheese with their BBQ and horseradish sauces on the side.

Wow central Maine finally has a roast beef place. This place will fill any appetite. My suggestion is order a supper beef and have them make it a 4 way(horseradish, BBQ, Mayo and cheese) and don’t forget the onion rings. The staff is very friendly and this is a clean restaurant. Enjoy!!!
