Winton Corner Diner

This was an awesome find. great food and service. and such a cute place… will return!!!

Good food, good company, and friendly wait staff. Can’t get any better! Their breakfast is the best… love those grits.

I was in Winton, NC, recently («Why?» you might ask. I was on a business trip) around lunch time and had been told that the best place in the area for lunch was the Winton Corner Diner. I have no doubt that my information was correct and it was the «best» place around. It was clean, well-​decorated, and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The food arrived quickly.
I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak. It was good for being in North Carolina but I question whether it would have sold in Philadelphia. It seemed like the meat was Steakums, but I like Steakums. I cook Steakums at home. The bread was fresh and good. The fries on the side were quite nice. If in Winton again, I will probably do lunch there if the timing is right. So, if you are in Winton, NC, for lunch (or breakfast — they don’t serve dinner) try the best place in town.
