I began my search for a sailing trip about 6 months ago and really didn’t know where to start. I called some companies that had their own fleets but I didn’t feel comfortable that I knew enough to make an educated decision, even after talking to them at length. That is when I found Ed Hamilton Yacht Charter. I called and got Steve on the line. He took the time to explain everything A to Z about chartering a catamaran. Then, he gathered information about our budget and expectations and then went to work selecting several options he thought would work for us. He continued to patiently answer all my questions and give advice when needed. With Steve’s help we selected the perfect catamaran and the perfect crew for our group. All the details — preference forms, etc. all were taken care of perfectly by the rest of the staff. Help with ferries and how to coordinate flights was given happily. We definitely had the trip of a lifetime and it would never have happened without Ed Hamilton Yacht Charter. I would not hesitate to use them again and will be doing so again in the next few years!

Ed Hamilton Nightmare Vacation in the Caribbean We can’t believe this guy is still in business… We hired him to arrange for a yacht charter — after years of hard work we all wanted a perfect vacation of sailing, scuba diving, and good food, with exceptional service. We were willing to pay a bit extra, even though we had little money at that point in our lives. What attracted us to Mr. Hamilton as a broker was that he «guaranteed» our satisfaction — boy did that turn out to be a joke… When we got to the Caribbean it turned out that the owners of the boat he had put us on had already sold the business and we were their last charter. They told us that Mr. Hamilton knew that… they could not have had worse attitude about customer service. As far as they were concerned, they were«out of here»! On a 10 day vacation we were able to get them to put the sails up just once or twice — this, on an Ocean 66! We attempted to go scuba diving but their attitude about safety was really off putting. They’re «dive master» didn’t seem to care anything about the buddy system or even basic safety. And it turned out that they had had a scuba diving fatality just recently! When the nightmare was over, we contacted Mr. Hamilton about some sort of refund or restitution — at a minimum at least an apology. He essentially told us to «take a hike!» So much for the«guarantee»! If you place any value on your time, money, or leisure, avoid this guy like the plague!
