Your Review 1 2 3 4 5 this place really made a huge mistake when they bought it and decided not to have pets there or on the beach or in the water — that is why everyone came here in the first place, so their pets can swim and have fun all day long. what is the sense of bringing dogs yet they can’t go on the beach or in the water??? so crazy. this place was booked every single week when Kate owned it. when i was there in the summer of 2015 it was so empty… there was oly about 5 other rooms that were rented and everyone that i spoke to said how much they hated it now and they will never ever return. Also the man owner is very very rude. my dogs were allowed on the beach, yet he pounded on my door so loud and started yelling at me because his clean p guy is afraid of dogs and he told me i couldn’t have the on the beach any longer well, i paid for them to be on the beach so that didnt happen. who would hire someone to clean up that is deathly afraid of dogs? this is so messed now. and the renovations that he did are basically nothing to speak of. my patio door was so hard to open that sometimes is took two of us to open it and it also would not close all the way. the seamstress are terrible to sleep on, especially the sofa sleepers. the springs hit you in the back and you can’t sleep. there is a house for rent 2 doors away that has a full deck, two living rooms, a huge kitchen, two huge bedrooms, sofa sleepers, etc. and a pier and beach where you dogs can swim like crazy. it’s only $ 1000 a week and it’s beautiful. about 12 people can fit in it. for all of you who used to come here solely for your dogs enjoyment, now you can go there and save a lot of money and still enjoy every the dells has to offer. he also took away the free mount olympus tickets and is giving out noah’s ark ones instead. from many many comments i heard the new owners are very cheap… and they raised the prices not only of the rooms but also for the pets. kate used to give one free day for a week, now he thinks giving 50% off on one day is a deal??? i guess he has to make up for him not getting the business like this place used to get. allergies to dogs??? the place across the lake told him that because delton oaks was his biggest competitor and used to take all his business away. now he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore. and the new owners couldn’t see thru what he was doing??? oh my god. very naïve… if people had allergies to dogs, they wouldn’t have a dog!!! everyone that came here basically had dogs so that makes no sense. he is the one that does not like dogs… well, now we all have a nice place to go to with our dogs just a couple of doors down and the place is beautiful and amazing and huge. big big house. check it out!!!

Family owned buisness, not a corporation. On the lake, pet friendly. Been coming here for years. Not a fancy place, good old fashion service, great view. Was hestant to even post because its such a great hidden jewel. Must try

This review is specifically for the Delton Oaks Alpine Lodge: Located across the street and up the road from the resort, the Alpine Lodge is an alright, fairly affordable(in Dells terms) place to stay if you don’t want to worry about sleeping neighbors or renting blocks of rooms for a large group. Upsides: + large — the beds/daybeds will sleep 14, and there’s plenty of floor space for air mattresses and sleeping bags + full-size appliances, including a free washer and dryer + across the street from the lake and down the street from the pool + cable, stereo, and a selection of dubbed VHS tapes with classics like Short Circuit 2 and Dirty Dancing Downsides: — management rolls on the cheap side: for three nights and twenty people they left us one bar of soap, one mini shampoo bottle, and two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. We were able to score more TP from the office, but I’ve more products readily available in a standard hotel room meant for two people. — speaking of the bathrooms, there are three, but two are in the bedrooms upstairs. The bathroom is open to the bedroom(half wall, no door), and the doors to the bedrooms don’t lock. If it’s just you and someone you’re comfortable showering/using the toilet in front of, no big deal, but with tons of people needing to go in and out, it was a little disconcerting. — you are responsible for cleaning up, washing dishes, taking out the trash, and washing towels. Not a huge deal, but part of vacation fun is not having to worry about that sort of thing. — Checkout is 10 am, no exceptions. Once again, not a huge deal, but kind of an inconvenience if you are up late Saturday or aren’t raring to hit town first thing in the morning. In any case, with twenty of us it ended up being about $ 35/night, so hooray for that. You’re not going to get luxury, but if you want to house a bunch of people on the cheap and don’t mind putting in some elbow grease on the way out, this may be just the place for you.
