We stumbled upon this place during a cross-country drive, when we «stumbled» upon the Dells(LOVETHEDELLS!!!). We consider ourselves very lucky. It was very cute on the outside, clean on the inside, provides the basics of what you need for a VERY reasonable price. No corporate crap. The owner and her husband work their tails off to provide a comfortable experience. We will come back whenever we are back in the area.

This is officially my new favorite Dells motel. I said«motel» so don’t get it twisted. Margaret, the manager, is amazing. Has the most fabulous accent, and is pretty much my new favorite person in the world(Maybe I’m exaggerating). It’s not modern, per say, but it’s cozy. You can tell they take a fair amount of pride in their little place and it’s family owned and ran, which gives it all the more character. It’s at the end of the main Dells downtown and in walking distance to the High Rock Café, which is a plus. Reasonable rates, no frills, friendly, and safe. It may not be a «4 star» motel, but it gets 4 stars in my book. I’m a fan.

My boyfriend and I found this little motel on our way through Wisconsin, and we really liked it. The room was very neat and clean, and we thought the owners were lovely. Morning coffee and snacks are available, too. I recommend this inexpensive motel if you are looking for a great rate and don’t need any frills.

We come to the dells every year. I saw this place last year when we were here. So here we are a year later. We stayed here 2 nights. I will give the positives & negatives about this place. The location is great, this motel is right in the downtown“the strip” section of the dells. We always seem to end up here on the strip in the evening anyway, after doing the waterpark all day. So we didn’t have to drive there then back to a hotel later in the evening. This place is also easy on the pocketbook. We paid $ 151.00 w/tax for both nights! So we definitely didn’t get ripped off. We knew this place is a ma & pa motel. I didn’t expect bells and whistles. You can’t for the price you’re paying. The owner Margaret is very sweet. They did have free wifi too! It was also quiet at night. Now the negatives. This place needs some updating. I will NOT say this place is very clean. I did see not 1 but 2 spiderwebs in the corners near the ceiling in the shower! Yuk! I honestly didn’t feel clean afterwards. The beds were not good. Very thin mattresses. My husband and I woke up sore both mornings. The comforters didn’t match the bedskirts. I know that’s being nitpicky but I thought it was odd. There were stains on one wall. It looked like pop or something of that nature. One outlet didn’t work. We had multiple phones to charge.(minor incovienence). I also thought the carpets could use a good cleaning. I didn’t bother complaining about spiderwebs and stains. Again, we only paid $ 151.00 for 2 nights. I kind of thought of this like a camping«roughin it» experience. I would only recommend this place if you are looking for a cheap no frills kind of place. I think next year we will go back to staying in a hotel.
