Poor customer service. Order kilts a week before our party. In the special comments section we left a note stating when we would need them delivered by. Tried for the next week to get in touch with them. I understand that a week can be considered short notice and would be willing to pay for the expedited shipping. The day before the party, after leaving a comment on Facebook someone finally contacted me. They said that there was absolutely no way they would even be able to ship the order for at least another week. Once again I know it was short notice but an earlier response would have been nice so we could have had a chance to purchase them elsewhere.

I had always wanted to get a kilt, but never had the know-how. We don’t have any places here in town that sell them, to my knowledge. So you’re pretty much limited to shopping online, which can be nightmarish when dealing with clothing. So this year I hit up the Bay Area Renaissance Festival and these guys had a booth set up. La Chica and I strolled in, and were greeted by a gentleman named Eric, who gave us the whole kilt rundown. Different styles, different colors, patterns and fabrics, etc. There really are a lot more options than I anticipated, but Eric really helped narrow down the selection for me. I wanted an Irish, non-traditional kilt, so I ended u picking our a black and green tartan for a good price. They didn’t have the tunic I wanted in my size, but was assured they have plenty of stock if I place an order online. Would definitely shop with them again.

I have ordered three products from Got-Kilt over the last three years. They have always been late on delivery. I am still waiting for a Kilt ordered 12⁄12(it is now 3⁄14) that they assure me will be here soon. Doing some research, I believe they get their kilts out of Pakistan, as do many vendors around the world, and that could be a bottle neck with untold problems. I have had issues with their email and phone messaging. Since they are on Facebook where comments are public they respond much more quickly. The other side of the coin is great bang per buck. I actually prefer to wear the $ 58 Got-Kilt kilt over my $ 500 kilt purchased on High Street in Edinburgh. This is a caveat emptor situation. The local BBB rates them an F. Bottom line, ask if they have the kilt you want in stock.

We’ve been planning a Renaissance themed wedding for the past year. The boy opted to go with a cheaper kilt for now until he figures out his family tartan. We met Got Kilt at a local festival and felt they were pretty reliable based on an in depth conversation we had with them. The boy ordered his kilt for the wedding 7 weeks out which was 4 weeks earlier than they recommended. We figured this would be plenty of time to get his outfit put together. For whatever reason we did not receive a confirmation after the online purchase or shipping notification. We attempted to contact Got Kilt via phone; however, they did not answer and their voicemail stated is was full. We then emailed them and after a couple weeks they still had not responded. We went to their Facebook page and left a post. We received comments from other customers who had the same issues with them though Got Kilt still did not respond to us. Finally, after a week they responded via email to say that the kilt would arrive in about a week and a half. We waited 2 weeks and nothing happened. We emailed them again and they responded within 40 minutes in large bold letters this time. They stated that they were having issues with their product being shipped from over seas and things were getting stuck in customs. Again, they told us it would be shipped to us in about a week and a half. At no point had they told us that their kilts were not made here or that they may have issues with shipping or customs. We are now 1 week out from our wedding with no kilt. If it is not here by Friday, I will demand a refund for sure. Do not buy anything from this company.
