First time there, got a create my own salad. It was good, just nothing exciting about this place.(Mini size was perfect lunch size). I think I saw another review that explained it as «bland». Pretty much sums it up. It was dine-in restaurant, which I didn’t expect. But they handed me a paper carry out menu, and it’s inside a business building which I thought was awkward. The waitress was nice and recommended some spicy dressings I might like. Probably should have just made a salad at home with my own fresh ingredients. I think this type of place should not be a dine-in restaurant and should make salads fresh in front of you something, more like a sub shop but for salads.(I hear the other location in Brighton is more like that but I’ve never been there)

This restaurant was a coney but changed owners we were told about a year ago. It looked different than I remembered, not for the better. We were seated right away, it wasn’t crowded around 12:30. The hostess and the waitress were friendly and polite. The menu I had was paper. It was dirty with food on it. Since it was a salad shop, I thought I would order a Maurice salad, a popular salad in this part of Michigan. They didn’t have this salad. I looked at the other special salads and they weren’t very special, just the usual: Greek, Tex-Mex, Caesar… I then looked at the compile your own salads and there were so many ingredients… I guess I wasn’t in the mood to be creative. It was like reading a salad bar! Much easier to walk a salad bar, and take what looks good than to read a list of 50 items. So I decided perhaps a gyro and a mini Greek would be good. My friend had just asked about a mini with her meal. The special was a mini Greek and Chicken gyro. I asked if I could have the same thing with gyro meat. The waitress asked the manager and the answer was no. That was fine. I asked, so how much would a mini Greek and gyro be. She clarified they don’t sell minis. I would have to get a small salad for $ 5.99 and a gyro for $ 5.99. So for $ 12, I could have what the local Coney’s sell for around $ 7. Not! So I decided to order a philly. The waitress brought me an iced tea. It was bitter or old. I asked for her to fill it with water and oops, i should have said to dilute it, but she emptied the tea and gave me a glass of water. Got that straightened out, but now I feel like a real pain. The Philly arrived and I asked for ketchup. I like a little ketchup on my Philly. Waitress got the ketchup. Yay time to eat! It was a nice size sandwich but I couldn’t pick it all up at once because like most Phillys it was a bit heavy in the center when I tried to lift it. I looked for a a knife, but all the tables are only set with forks! I had to bug the waitress again! Oh my! So I enjoyed the sandwich.(No chips, no pickle… Just the sandwich.). It was good, a nice size, filling. So all was well! When it was time to check out, they were using a portable mini iPad. It was a bit odd. Kind of like what’s used at a craft festival. And this is really petty, but I don’t like touching other peoples’ devices. Yes I know the restaurant door handles are touched by everyone. Just a personal quirk. We won’t go back. Too many similar places in Novi area with better tea, better selection, better prices, better atmosphere, better everything.

Not vegetarian friendly. You pay for meat if you like it or not. Like a previous reviewer, they mistakenly forgot and messed up my toppings as well. To actually receive the correct ingredients, it took several minutes as the server was busy conversing with a regular. Asked the cashier for location of the restrooms, but the two employees would not acknowledge me until having to interrupt their conversation and receiving a short response. There are plenty of soup and salad locations within one mile that will accommodate better service, ingredients and pricing. Too bad because I would’ve loved getting salads here every week

Stopped in for Brunch. Pretty plain, but ok. Tea mug was dirty, so they replaced it. No knives with the silverware? Service was ok, although we got white instead of rye bread with our bacon and eggs. Everything tasted fine. Took a while to get our brunch considering there were only a few people in the place. Preferable to a fast food place, but only just.

Not the worst dining experience but not the best. Although there were two people at the register, only one seemed to be taking care of customers. The other just stood there. I had to flag down a waitress to get seated. The idle hostess then walked around the place straightening chairs and completely ignoring me. Friendly waiter came by and took my drink order, got me a menu and a waitress. Menu was ripped and dirty. Waitress was prompt and efficient. I ordered the TexMex Stir-Fry. Although the vegetables were well cooked and it was a nice combination of foods. it was dry and taseless. Apparently you can add flavors, but I expect that with a house specialty there will already be spices included. Portion size was good. Probably won’t go back.

I really like this place. Limited hours, just breakfast and lunch. The salad is chopped, which I love. Ingredient are usually very fresh, and seem high quality. I have three main complaints. It’s hard to find, regardless of signs. It’s in the back of a big glass building right off Beck. The salads seem to be priced very high compared to the rest of the menu. A medium is a good lunch size. My biggest complaint is that on the build your own salad, the price includes one meat, and they ALWAYS charge extra for it when they ring it up. I have to point it out every time, and many cashiers have said this is an error in their system. It’s baffling to me that it hasn’t been fixed yet. Overall I will continue to come here, because they’re good salads, but I wish this place was a little bit better managed.

I have eaten here several times, salad and a pasta meal twice. A funny complaint– the prices are so low that I was concerned about what I am eating(a sandwich for less than $ 5 in a sit-down restaurant???) Soup was actually pretty good. Portions were very small on the pasta meals– my husband felt his was inadequate for lunch.

1st time visit since they are only open weekdays with limited hours. Was a carry out order and the staff person was friendly. Ordered their small Signature Chicken Stir Fry Pasta. It was a good sized portion for a small and taste was ok, an interesting twist on Stir Fry instead of usually with rice. Will give them another try as am curious about their other menu options.

After a disappointing meal at red olive, I will be reminded by my great experience at toms. I was doing some business in that green building and noticed the sign on the elevator for a gyro lunch for eight bucks. Why not? I overheard the staff mention this was a first to serve gyro and guess what… It was very good. On top of that my server was on top of everything and very nice. She didn’t miss a thing. They have the biggest soup selection i have ever seen and while my choice was pretty good, not great, it was hot and satisfying. Potato and cheese soup. I’d say if you can find the place(its in an office building) check it out.

Stopped by Tom’s on my lunch break. This place makes the best salads. The Greek dressing is amazing. Went again and got the chicken pasta stir fry. Even better. This place won’t disappoint.

I’ve gotten salads from this place multiple times. ½ the time they forget something or put something you don’t want in it. I decided to try the grilled shrimp. I was not able to even taste it because it was still dirty ½ of them still had shells on them. Very disappointing. I do enjoy how it’s a chopped salad and most times the ingredients are fresh. Poor customer service
