We are in from Colorado and found this shop close to us. The food looked good and the reviews of course helped. We decided to go for it!
We got the philly, steak and cheese, and a couple kid meals.
Love the onion chips! What a great spin on onion rings! No pun intended.
The philly and steak and cheese where delicious and we would definitely order them again.
I read a review where someone complained about the veggies being uncooked in the philly and the company replied that they must have been mistaken. Well the veggies were raw so the customer was right, but I thought it made the sandwhich a little more fresh, so you be the judge. I’ll post a pic of the onion and pepper.
Overall really good. We are hoping to eat here again before we head home.

Come hear weekly for lunch. The food is always good. Fries are fresh and hot! Place including the bathroom is always clean. Best Tubbys I’ve been at.

I ordered a chicken fajita and i am pretty sure what i got was not chicken. Its almost closing time and i can’t go back to get it replaced. Waste of my money and time and I am still hungry with nothing to eat. This was the first time I tried tubby’s and I was disappointed. Maybe its a good place but did not really workout for me

Nice customer service but the sandwich isn’t anything special. I thought it was weird that they don’t sauté the bell peppers, onions & mushrooms for the Philly cheese steak sub but it wasn’t bad. I don’t see myself going there again anytime soon.

First time having this chain near us. My hubby has gotten the sandwiches and I have had the chef salad a couple times. Hubby liked the subs he has gotten and I liked my salad. However, the first time I got the salad it had banana peppers on it as well as carrots, ham and cheese. Not bad as the peppers were easy to remove. The second time though we said no peppers but when hubby ordered he didn’t tell me there was supposed to be red onion on it. I don’t like onion in the first place but I was thrown for a loop when the onions that were on it were white onions, which I despise more than red, and they weren’t an issue the first time so I couldn’t figure out why that was. Just know if you get the salad make sure you tell them no peppers OR onions if you don’t like them otherwise you could have an unpleasant surprise. (Again, not terribly difficult to remove the onion except for they look similar to some of the lettuce so you have to be careful to get them all.

I had a really good mushroom, steak and cheese sub at this place. No complaints about the food or the ambience. The reason I only give it three starts was the lack of staffing. At noon on a Saturday there was only one employee working. He did well — he would take two or three orders, then go in the back and make two or three subs. Then he’d come out, deliver them, and do it all over again. They should have at least two people there during the lunch hour — one to take orders and run the register and the other to make the sandwiches.
I’ve had the same problem at the Novi Tubby’s. I’m running in for quick sandwich and it is anything but quick. I’m starting to feel like I have to allow a lot of extra time when I go to a Tubby’s instead of being able to get in and out quickly.

Tubby’s used to THE sub shops in Michigan. Now they’ve gotten expensive and they skimp on the meat to the point of being ridiculous. This place is no different.

I grew up eating Tubby’s and it may be my favorite sub place… however, this location fell short of my expectations. We were at South Lyon HS East for a swim meet and were about equidistant to two locations. I wish we had chosen the other one on Grand River in Novi. This location was so SKIMPY on the meat (ordered ham & cheese sub and Tubby’s Classic sub), the décor is just boring and blah (dirty, dingey walls), and they do not offer the five dollar deli sub deal here. All of the tables were high top with stools. Did the owner not consider people with physical limitations and those wheelchair bound? Shame on you!

Ready in minutes… love the new shop… so many new Items to the menu… Onion chips are really delish… Crispy chicken Sub. daughters favorite… healthy No!.. Good yes…“Toasted always”.the best!
