Two Men and a Truck

My company hired Two Men and a Truck for a couple of recent moving jobs, and I was very impressed. This came as no surprise since I’ve used them for a personal move before and knew they were good at what they do. They were on time, efficient, and kept everything protected. The movers were very honest. They originally quoted our company 3 hours, but as they were moving and got a better idea of the extent of the job, they told us that they’d be done in about half of the quoted time, so they’d charge us just for the time actually spent on the job. They had every opportunity to take their good sweet time just to get the 3 hours’ pay, but I really appreciate the honesty. I highly recommend using Two Men and a Truck, and I will not hesitate to call them the next time we need help from movers, for my work, and at home.

Hired this franchise to move a family member from South Lyon to Bellville. The whole process was very flawless and the entire staff was very helpful from booking to the actual move. They showed up on time, loaded the furniture on the truck, met us in Belleville, and moved the stuff right in. Both men were quick and efficient especially considering that they had to carry the goods up 3 flights of stairs (no elevator available). No marks on walls, no marred furniture, and all for under the quoted time. I have to say that I was expecting to get see a lot of wasted time and effort after reading other reviews. Not the case at all with this move. Could not be happier. Thanks.

Moving date changed due to uncontrollable circumstances. I was selling my home, and the buyer could not close on time. I called as soon as I received this information, one day before the move. Two Men and a Truck informed me I would be charged a 175.00 rescheduling fee even if I rescheduled. At this point it turned into a shouting match. I was told they had charged my card $ 222.00 even though they never even showed up. Disputing this charge on my credit card now. Shame on you.

Outstanding! I ordered 3 guys to move. They sent very polite guys who were very professional, and were very careful with the furniture. I would use these guys again! Outstanding service! I can’t say enough about my experience.

Hiring this company was the biggest mistake I ever made. Please avoid this branch of two men and a truck at all costs. I was given a quote of 3.5−4 hours for a move. This was after I went through my house and listed everything we would need moved. The workers showed up and spent the first 20 – 30 minutes wandering around hanging out, wasting time. They then proceeded to complain about everything we needed moved (standard furniture). They were not careful with our belongings and caused a lot of damage to our furniture and our new home’s walls.
When I asked one worker about damage to a coffee table he said he needed to take pictures of it, the other worker was rude and aggressive when i asked about any other damage.
I contacted the manager of this branch (John Ruane) and he stated he NEVER has any trouble with these movers. I told him about the damaged table and other damages that we found after unpacking (such as a torn mattress and dents/​holes in the wall). He asked for pictures. I sent pictures. He then stated that the workers are denying any damage. He went as far as to say that the one worker took pictures of the coffee table before they left. So now we are in a battle of their word versus mine. I also mentioned that they took way longer than quoted (i expect a ½ hour here and there but 2 hours!) I was told that i was not quoted 3.5−4 hours infact i was quoted 5 hours WHICH I WAS NOT. These workers had another scheduled move at 1:00 p.m. mine stared at 9:30am. If i was quoted 5 hours why would they have scheduled another move in the middle of mine? (The reason I know about the next moves time is that the movers sat and complained about being late for their next job because they had to move out furniture.
If you want to pay a lot of money to have 3 rude workers show up to your house and damage all of your furniture and walls then please call Two men and a Truck Wixom. Otherwise Please STAY AWAY!
