After moving back from Tucson with my poor computer in the trunk of my car for five days, it wouldn’t turn on. I brought it down to have the guys test my video card. Turns out our I have having a moment(moves are stressful). The staff at Alfa Computer were nice, knowedgeable and extremely helpful and even got the leaf blower out to help me with a years worth of dust!

I needed additional memory for my computer and when I checked Unilocal in my area Alpha came up with good reviews, which are well deserved. I called them and they were quick to respond with an over the phone estimate that sounded reasonable and they said I could come right in and they would install it while I waited. The parking is easy and the location is right off 95(128 to us locals) and true to their word they took care of it immediately and I was out the door in a matter of minutes with a bill matching their estimate. They are very pleasant people to deal with. And the proof is in the pudding — I’m writing this review on my fully functioning fast again computer.

I had a ten year old Compaq Presario with Windows Vista started acting up. I took it to Best Buy. They told me I needed a new hard drive. ThatI I would be better off buying a new one. So I went ant found the computer that I thought would best suit my needs, a Acer TC605 on sale for $ 563.00.Sounded good to me, Until they started nickel and dimming me for every little thing. Charging me a setup fee, transfer fee, and other such nonsense. So I did what was right for me. I left Best Buy to go elsewhere. My wife found Alfa Computer on line on this Unilocal site. All reviews were excellent. So I took my computer their. Tan was very knowledgeable and honest. He ran a test on my computer, and found the hard drive as no good as well as there was very little memory on the board as well. With no charge to check it. He recommended I a new or refurbished one. He had refurbished ones that he rebuilt with the best components om the market. I purchased one, a Dell Optiplex 780 with Windows 7 for $ 350.00.With no transfer charge, as well as a new keyboard, and mouse also. WOW! What a difference. My wife is having trouble with her laptop as well. We are going there today to have him check it out. Love this place. From now on all my computer problems will be taken to the best place around, Alfa Computer. Go there, you won‘t be sorry.

The first time I went to ALFA was to have them suck all of the dust out of my sony vaio. The process took 15 minutes and Joe didn’t charge me a dime!(Of course I left him a nice tip so he could buy lunch on me) The second time I went to ALPHA(just yesterday), I went in to upgrade the RAM on my MacBook Pro from 4gb to 8gb. Parts + Labor cost less than half as much charged by Apple ton get the service done at the Genius Bar. Tan(the head honcho) is super knowledgable, friendly, and extremely fair. I would recommend this computer shop to anyone who is having any kind of computer problem, and I would absolutely return a third time if I myself run into any troubles. Also, all parts and labor are guaranteed for 1 year. If something isn’t right, just bring it back in.

I called at this place and confirm that i have screen and need to replace. Now when i went there price is totally different than actual quote. I am trying to remind the exact conversion between me and him. He totally not agree or accept that conversion. — I was excepting nice way to response but it is not the way to response. It is waste of few hours nothing else. Don’t rely on telephonic conversion.

They saved my bacon! My computer wouldn’t load windows, and I brought it in to these guys. They called me within 2 hours with a diagnosis(4 hrs prior to closing). They said they could fix it by the next morning at 10am. I was desperate and asked if they could do it the same day. They had it as good as new by the close of business that day. It doesn’t get more awesome than that!

My HP All-in One computer’s cd burner/dvd player stopped working. I did what I could to check for problems, but as I thought, it was busted and it needed to be replaced. After asking a few friends for recommendation for a good computer repair shop, I was told by three of them to go over to Alfa. So I did. They looked at it right away and told me it would take two days and they would call me when it was ready. They called later that day and said it was done and I could pick it up. I did, first thing the next morning, and it was less than the estimate they told me. So my first experience with Alfa was faster and cheaper and my computer is running better than when I dropped it off! I couldn’t possible be more satisfied as a customer and I have zero doubts about recommending them to anyone else who is having computer problems. I

Can’t rave enough about this place. I have been going to them for years now. They’ve done everything from general computer repair and virus removal to cleaning dirt/dust from the inside of my comp — you name it, they can do it. They are incredibly professional, very knowledgeable, and most importantly they do a GREAT job. If you have a computer issue, bring it to them asap — You won’t regret it!

I have a 2008 gaming rig that was resetting every minute or so. I wasn’t able to test based on the beeps because the motherboard(XFX680i SLI) does not have a plug jumper for the little speaker. So after testing the ram, ram slots, video cards it was still doing the same. I took out all the coolers, all the drives, I left only the motherboard with the cooler and the video card, but still nothing. I ruled out the Power supply. I went and i ordered a motherboard from amazon for my intel Q6600. When the motherboard arrived I did not pay any attention to the pins in the cpu socket, they were bent. I tried starting up the machine, it would not start at all. I slept on it and the next day i found the pins inside the cpu slot. I thought I burned my CPU since i put the old motherboard in but it wasn’t doing anything. I decided to take the rig to alfa computers. It was around 5:15pm, I explained to them what the problem was. Next morning around 10:30 they called me up telling me that they have identified the problem as being the power supply after all. I bought a corsair 750 power supply from them that was at a very good price and the charge for their efforts was close to nothing. I definitely recommend this place!

Two Part Review: Part 1: I can’t recommend Alfa Computer highly enough. I was having a problem with a portable hard drive not working. I was really hopping to see if there was a way to get this baby going. I found out about ALFA through the Boston Checkbook Survey’s and drove 30 minutes to Woburn. He took the time to explain how the drive works,(I’m technically clueless), tried a couple of ideas to get it going and none worked. I also had a small netbook with me with a screen issue, and he took the time to explain that too. Wasn’t worth fixing because of the age and price of the netbook. I ask about the costs of his time and he didn’t charge me at all. Part 2: Several days later my Dell Inspiron had a major video card problem, and I couldn’t get the laptop to work in any mode other than safe mode. I have a contract with Dell and called. They tried everything and determined that I had a software problem, which wasn’t covered under my plan. I’m technically clueless(see above) but I wasn’t convinced it wasn’t a video card problem. So back to Alfa I went. They took it in overnight, ran some tests and confirmed it wasn’t software. He took an extra step and took a picture of the screen error get got with his cell phone and sent it to me. I picked it up and with his assessment and documentation I called Dell back and now have a new video card AND motherboard. He charged his flat rate fee of $ 45.00. I very small price to pay. Before I left with the Dell we did talk about the option of buying a new laptop from him, he took the time to hear what I wanted and made a recommendation. I never felt pressured, and he offered to roll the $ 45 into the new purchase. For PC support or a new purchase I’ll be visiting ALFA computer. Thank you Tan!
