Cardinal Shower Enclosures

We recently purchased the Skyline shower door that Cardinal sells. While the looks are really unique (5 stars) and was our main reason for purchasing — the shower leaks excessively under the gap between the door and our tile ledge. The water dam and guidance provided by the manufacturer was totally ineffective (hence the 1 star rating)
In trying to solve the problem their website does not provide any technical information to determine whether the door was installed properly and calls to their support group on how to solve the problem — proved useless. Their follow-​through was poor (though we eventually found a great support person in Reno, NV that helped us quickly get the problem solved). But it took a bunch of calls to their various corporate phone numbers to find this person.
Our installation company finally came up with a solution by building up the height of the original Cardinal’s water dam with a matching piece of molding. This closed the gap and stopped the water from escaping.
Cardinal needs to redesign their water dam strip and or provide a couple of different height versions of the water dam as standard solutions to this problem.
Again the Skyline is great looking — but the company’s support was poor and technical details light given the cost of this product.
We would think twice before we use a Cardinal product again.
