Johnathon Yvon was the franchise manger that we hired to paint our garage floor. He had no idea what he was doing. The paint started to peel within weeks of his applying it. He refused to do two coats to start with and had to return and redo the painting. The paint peeled after the second visit as well. He did not return our calls. We are very unsatistfied with College Pro Painters.

We solicited proposals from several painters and based on price and the warranty, we chose College Pro. We signed the agreement with one manager who immediately moved to the West Coast. He was replaced by another manager who assigned 3 very young men to do the preparation and painting. Here’s a word of advice for homeowners. Since your house is probably the biggest investment you will ever make, do not entrust its care to 20 somethings who do not understand or appreciate its value. These guys were more interested in talking and leaving for the beach than painting. When they left we did a walk-around and discovered a great many places entirely untouched by paint. We actually checked references and heard that one customer reported that they applied paint to their deck instead of the required stain. Well, the same thing happened to us and when we called the manager back, we met a third manager who was trying to cover more territory because they ran out of managers. The paint had to be scraped down and stain applied. We pointed out all the places they missed and the manager had to do the touch up himself because there were no resources available. We grew very tired of calling them back, trying to schedule a time for them to return to fix things, We gave up. Epilog: We scraped the blistering stain off the deck ourselves and reapplied a more robust deck covering from Home Depot which has finally lasted. This crew required constant supervision. Based on our experience, they do not know how to treat your large investment with the care it deserves. We ended up painting the uncovered spots ourselves. Never again. In retrospect, we should have chosen the more mature, seasoned guy who is most likely a home owner himself. Heed this advice if you don’t want to spend hours on the phone, taking lots of pictures of mistakes, and observing the corrections being made.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. This place SUCKS. Our house needed painting and we chose this place and it was an absolutely miserable experience. First of all they were late arriving, they missed a ton of spots, when we called them back to redo what they missed they still missed them despite us pointing them out. The second time we called them to come back the manager from the first time had left. In total, we had them come three times(mind you this should’ve been done right the first) and it still wasn’t done right. They have young people working there who you’d think would be hard working, but they are the laziest, stupidest, most thoughtless, undependable workers I’ve ever seen in my life. Hands down. Really says alot about our youth’s work ethic. Seriously save your money!
