Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I’ve rented from this location regularly over the last 10 years. The last time I rented from here was a hot mess. I picked up the car on Saturday, May 14. When I got there at 9, only one person was working and there was already someone ahead of me and 2 more people came in as I waited. The service is always great but only having one person on a Saturday morning is never a good thing. We went out to the car, he turned it on, told me it was all set and I was on my way. I turned the car off when I got home and then when I turned it back on, the «Change oil» light came on. I called the office and after being put on hold for 10 minutes, I was told that everything was fine. The light was coming on but nothing was wrong with the car. I didn’t think that was right but needed to get on the road.
I drove the car to Long Island. About 2 hours into the drive, we hit some traffic. Whenever I would stop and accelerate, the entire car would shake between 0 – 10 miles. That was a little unnerving. About 30 minutes from my destination, the front right tire blew! I called AAA and had the tire changed to the spare.
I called around to several Enterprise locations on Long Island and no one was willing to switch out the car for me. I eventually contacted Road Side Assistance and they had the car towed from the hotel parking lot. I had to get a ride back home from a friend.
When I called your location on the following Monday and explained the situation, I was told not to worry. I wouldn’t be charged for the rental as the experience was not as expected. I guess I should have realized that wasn’t a true statement as my credit card was indeed charged for the one day car rental.
Beware, people. If the place is real busy and only one person is working, make sure to check EVERYTHING before you drive off. If anything comes up weird, return the car. It’s not worth putting yourself in potentially dangerous situation in a moving vehicle because the rental place is not providing due diligence to make sure their cars are safe to rent.

We were hesitant due to poor reviews but were in a bind so went along with them. They filed a claim with our insurance company over 60 days after rental was returned. When we looked over the car, there were minor scratches already on it and when asked, we were told anything bigger than a dollar bill would be an issue. We kept the car one day over our return date bc there are no signs to tell you where to drop it off after business hours. Then we were told we scratched the car (less than dollar bill in size and also in area where there were already scratches) and that they’d be filing a claim with our insurance company. When my husband fought back, they said maybe it was already there. Thought the issue was resolved until our insurance company called us yesterday. Bunch of scam artists!

Great service and value. I recently used the weekend special with the addition of unlimited miles. Very happy with my experience. Was picked up on time and dropped off after I returned the car. I am saving the remaining star for some type of inventory so you can see what cars are available during the days you wish to travel. It would be great to be able to see the cars prior to arriving. You could reserve the class but not the particular make or model. I also found out recently that there is a BMW X5 available for rent. I did not know this… My point exactly. Thank you.

I would never rent a car in your location customers please be careful renting a car at this location. I have car rental on my insurance but they told me that I had to put $ 150.00 deposit on my credit card so I did. My car was on the body shop for almost 5 weeks so I return my car rental so I make sure that my insurance pay in full that was on Saturday 2÷13÷2016 but my insurance was already closed so they got paid on Tuesday ²⁄₁₆₂ 016 and I make sure to call them because rental enterprises has my $ 150.00 deposit and I need it back. So Jackie told me that I was not going to get my deposit back because of the taxes on the car rental nobody said anything about rental taxes. I call my insurance and they told me that rental enterprise got pay in full by the insurance. Enterprise enjoy my money your NOT HAPPY CUSTOMER!

UPDATE: After my most recent rental, I got charged for a crack in the taillight that clearly happened from a rock getting kicked up while I was driving on the highway. I dont deny (and cannot prove) that it happened while I had the car, so I paid for it. However, it was Enterprises choice to charge me for something they said ‘would be taken care of’ when I talked to the rep. Yah, taken care of by ME. Thanks Enterprise, its been nice knowing ya’. You chose to charge me for a minor crack, and now I choose to no longer bring you any of my business.

I have to say, I’m very upset with this location. I rent vehicles all the time all across the country through an Enterprise business account and I’ve never ever had an issue. Of course, the one and only time I have a personal rental due to an accident all hell breaks loose. The initial customer service was great – friendly, pleasant, all those magical things. I returned the vehicle and was told there was damage and I needed to pay $ 500 on the spot. They gave me the vehicle in a blizzard covered in snow and salt, so that was a bunch of BS. That being said, supposedly I am being reimbursed. Weeks have now passed and nothing. I’ve called twice and was told a manager would get back to me and nothing. No call back, no refund. Nothing.

My car was damaged so I used enterprise like I always (did). I returned the car with a dent so I never received my deposit back which was fine. Then I realized a few more hundred dollars was taken from my credit card. Again, fine I know it costs money to fix the dent. Then I get another bill foe over $ 200 that includes amount other things ‘loss of use’. I just had a baby and declared bankruptcy I can not afford all of these charges. When I call the company to talk to someone the lady I am put through to, I guess the one that handled the claim, never calls me back. I am really struggling and feel like I am being taken advantage off.;(

Good service but they charged me $ 400 that was already covered by the insurance agency. I called but they didn’t seem to date enough to take care of it. Charged it back to my CC.

I use to hate this location (due to the previous manager) this holiday weekend I had to use them as their weren’t any mini vans available.
Andre handled my transaction. Super friendly, informative. Just a genuine nice person. Because of him I have come back to enterprise rent a car.

Wow. I’d really like to thank Joe Santostefano, Roberta Silva, and Chris Ryan at Enterprise-​Rent-​A-​Car Car Sales in Woburn, MA. What a great buying experience I had in purchasing my certified pre-​owned Mercedes C300. If anyone is looking for a stress-​free car buying experience, definitely check them out. I found a car on the enterprise website, they brought it there, provided finance options, but no pressure. I wrapped up the process in hours. It was a wonderful, pain free experience! Do yourselves a favor and just go in and ask for Joe, Roberta or Chris, and tell them that I referred you.

I rented a car for 2 weeks while my car was being repaired. The driver picked me up at the mechanic and on our way back to get the rental car he drove over a curb! The car they gave me had a caution light on. I needed to return it in 4 days because the windshield wipers didn’t work and it was raining out. They gave me another car with a caution light warning that something needed to be done with the car. Three days later another caution light went on and I needed to return the car. The newest car was filthy inside. I would need to clean the entire inside since it was covered in pollen. I immediately returned it to get another car that smelled like smoke. Wow! Take care of your cars and have respect for your customers. Give them a CLEAN CAR! Take the time to clean the windshield as if you were going to be driving it!!!

Two weeks ago my olé reliable completely went kaput and all it took was one call to this location and Rory (the Branch manager in Woburn) was at my house with my rental within 20 minutes. At the point of rental I didn’t know what was wrong with my car and how long I was going to need this rental — not a problem ma’am, I’ll just touch base in a few days and see how things are going, we will just be putting a nominal charge on your card to ‘hold’ it until we speak again.
As it turned out I decided to buy a new car, junk the old one and ended up keeping the rental for 2 weeks while I shopped. Rory touched base to see how my search was going — not pressuring me to return the rental, just touching base. I had not a single problem with the car and when it came time to return the car the drop off was a breeze and a nice young lady drove my son and I back to the house (I wish I had her card because I can’t remember her name!)
All in all if I ever need a rental car for whatever the reason I will be calling on Enterprise again. The customer service was perfect, the waiting room was roomy and clean, the young lady at the check out and the young lady who drove us home were eloquent and represented their company well. Rory (the branch manager) was nice as can be and also a very fine representative of this company.

I purchased a Nissan Altima there last fall. They were so incredibly nice and polite. I can’t really speak any more highly of the customer service I received there. Definitely not like most cheesy car dealers act when they see a woman walk in the room.
They spoke clearly and were not pushy or creepy. And I am really liking my vehicle. I’m not sure what the other negative reviews are about.
But purchasing a car coming off a lease with them is a very good experience.

This location could have easily taken my situation and made it better… making me a happy customer and not lose $ on my deal. No such luck… this location is as incompetent as many other Enterprise locations.
I had rented an Enterprise car from Logan airport for 2 full weeks, but a couple days into the rental, the indicator light comes on that says the car has less than 5% oil life in the car. Knowing I would be driving the car for 2 more weeks, and traveling extensively out-​of-​state, I do the responsible thing… I check w/​the airport location on which «neighborhood locations» (closer to where I would be staying) I could go to to trade out for a different car. Several calls («just ignore it», «there are no locations that have cars available», «they’re closed for the holidays until next week») later, I finally get to Woburn location on a day that I should have been spending with my family. They ask me if I want to wait for the oil to be changed… excuse me?!? I’m not spending my vacation waiting for my car to be serviced… just switch out the car and send me on my way!!! I put up a stink and chew out the poor service clerk behind the desk, since it’s the airport location’s fault that I’m in here in the first place. He finally agrees to give me a replacement car. OK, this is more like it but I really didn’t want to get mean to get service… anyway, I drive away and to my destination… when I get there, I realize the poor service clerk I was feeling sorry for had kept my driver’s license. I drive all the way back, have to wait for the staffer to get off the phone, to get my license back… no more sympathy for this guy– I hate him and have a feeling he did it on purpose.
In total, probably lost 2 hours of my day dealing w/​this Enterprise location. I decide to deal w/​the airport location in getting compensated for my troubles… all in all, I rented from Enterprise b/​c the rates are cheaper, so I got what I paid for… mediocre service all around.
