Awesome place. I have had here a few times. Their Meatball sub and Beef and Cheddar Brisket are what makes them unique.

I enjoyed the décor and service was quick and efficient. My sub was tasty but was pretty light on meat. My son got the meatball sub and raved about it. See pics.

What makes these subs different is the steamed meats, turkey, ham roast beef very tasty. I also tried the pulled pork sandwich very good ordered it again the next time I stopped in.

I had mixed feelings on the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. On one hand it was a good sandwich but not quite as expected. It really just tasted like Thousand Island dressing on beef brisket. The Steak & Cheese was dry and rather bland. The sandwiches here are expensive compared to a regular sub shop. I’m not quite sure the quality matches the extra money. Inside, the restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. Probably won’t return here just based on the prices.

I work nearby so I really wanted this place to be a good alternative. Unfortunately their portions are very small and highly priced. On 2 separate occasions they got my order wrong. Once I went there at noon only to be told they were out of steak. Really? You’re a sub shop and out of steak at noon?

I went to try Firehouse Subs for the first time. This place is near where I work and I am certainly not going to that fast food mexican place across the street. I ordered a steak and cheese plain(no mayo) to go The sub was kind of a wet mess which was surprising given that the steak consisted of tiny pieces of really dry meat. I got mushrooms onions and peppers on it as well. The onions and mushrooms were good but the peppers were so undercooked that it overwhelmed the whole sandwich. So in all it felt and tasted like I was eating a wet raw pepper sandwich with the texture of finely chopped tasteless meat. I think I might try this place one more time and eat in instead of take out. That way, the roll won’t steam itself in the wrapper. The beef and cheddar brisket looks good. I hope it’s not a fail next time otherwise I will probably write this place off for good. Plus I am dying to sample all the hot sauce.

Excellent Cheddar Brisket! Friendly, fast and delicious. Only thing I didn’t care for was the soda fountain machine. As cool as it is with 120 different kinds of soda, the water used tastes like a carbonated version of town water and Coke syrup.

Yum Yum Yum!!! I really like this place a lot. It has a ton of delicious hot sauces, yummy subs and is usually crowded around lunch(due to them being delicious and located in a technology circle for the tech lunch crowd). Super yummy!!!

I’ve been here twice now and only stopped because it was convenient. The subs are not very good for the amount of money they cost. Both times I’ve been here I waited 20 minutes for a sub to be made and the first time was like 3 pm when they were dead. This time they also screwed up my order. I ask to sub roast beef for the ham that comes in my sub and they tried to charge me another $ 2. I told her I would just take it normal because that’s crazy. So she says she’ll write it in because it shouldn’t charge me but alas, there is ham in my sub. I really don’t like ham. +1 because the girl that screwed my order up was also very nice and apologetic. It’s a hectic time of year, I get it. +1 another one because the medium drink is the size of my head, even if they don’t have ice(f’real?) And I have a long drive home.

For great subs I love this place! The support for the local fire departments is awesome as well. We always have a bottle Of the firehouse sauce in our fridge. Makes great BBQ chicken.

This place has great subs. I’ve gotten almost every one of them. The last time i went i got the turkey club on a sub. Delicious. Always full of lettuce, tomato and they are not skimpy on the bacon. Definitely not health food but oh so good. The chili is really good too! They have 2 tv’s at this location and tons of chips to choose from. No fries with your sub here. The drink station is crazy amazing. 120 different drinks to choose from. They sell hot sauce in these cut little containers that look like fire hydrants. Clean and friendly but i think it’s a bit pricey and sometimes it takes a while for your order to come out. Although parking is always easy.

I went here during my lunch break the other day, and was expecting to see a tiny sub shop, but I was surprised to see such a big place with so much variety. They have subs, salads, chips, and cookies. They even have a sandwich menu with a few options that are under 500 calories. I ordered the turkey cranberry sandwich and loved it. I also had a chocolate cookie and it was great too. The inside of the place is cute and firefighter themed. I would definitely recommend, especially for anyone who is tired of eating Subway all the time and wants something new/better. I am taking off one star because they were very busy when I went and it took over 20 minutes for my sandwich to arrive. However, they apologized for the delay and were handing out free sandwich vouchers to everyone who had to wait. Overall, a great experience! I will be coming back.

I am leaving my comments as part of my one star review below that others may learn from my mistake. Let me just say that I was wrong. There wasn’t mayo on my sandwich. I spoke with the stores owner who was one if the most sincere people I’ve ever met who explained that their steaming process melted the cheese I until it looks like mayo; that description is even written into their brand standards. They did leave off the pepper sauce which might have made it clear. And the staff didn’t describe their process. So mine was an honest mistake. So why four stars if I can’t judge the food? Because Wells was so incredibly honest and thoughtful — I know these guys will do anything they can to make it right for their customers. Just an incredible attitude well worth you giving them a try. I’ll certainly go back. Original one star: Went here today because subway was closed. Asked nicely for a Captain Sorensens no mayo explaining it’s a weird allergy. Service was to die for — if you mean die waiting for — as if you lived 30 miles from the nearest firehouse. Finally got sub. I said«no mayo right». They said yes. Got to beach, opened the sandwich. You guessed it. Mayo. Couldn’t eat it and had to throw it out. Want my $ 7 back plus the cost of lunch at Crane

I was contacted my the owner of this Firehouse Subs franchise. He read my entire review and addressed all parts of it. It’s great to know that business owners care about their customers’ feedback. In my first review I mention I got the Engineer sub, but I didn’t mention what I thought of it. I was very happy with it, and although I’m not a sandwich kinda gal, I would have that sub again, or I will try one of their new salads or subs. I also talked to my boyfriend and he said the steak and cheese and new york steamer are two of his favorites. And, like I said before, I will continue to support them so they can support the local Firehouse(s).

We decided to try firehouse after seeing them pop up recently in Woburn & Danvers. We were able to check out the menu and order online(love that!). We placed our order on a Sunday night around 5:45, and after processing, it said it would be ready in 10minutes. and it was! When we arrived the staff was super friendly and had our order ready to go. impressive. We got home and handed out the subs. I know the big thing here is steaming the subs, but I don’t know how I feel about that. It made the mayo watery/runny and my turkey sub soggy in general. soggy turkey = icky, very messy and basically uneatable.(pictured). Everyone else liked their subs but agreed they were very messy as well(minus one star). If/when we try it again we would probably eat it there to avoid the soggy-ness and I would request my turkey to be kept cold… or I would try a meat that is meant to be hot(steak&cheese maybe?), but I digress. I’ll update if/when that happens. Lastly we tried the s’mores brownie(pictured)… eh. It wasn’t bad but it was dry overall. and just not what we expected after reading other reviews.(minus one star). Until next time, firehouse.

They have yummy subs. but salty, and expensive. I had the 8″ sub, combo and paid just under $ 10 bucks. The combo deal is bogus. 1 bag of chips and super sweet fountain soda was eh. Next time I will just stick to the sub.

Great place for lunch and the subs are awesome… Choice of hot sauces are icing on the sub. The meat is very good quality and is steamed with cheese on the top place on the toasted bread for a MMMM””” feeling. A Bit tad expensive but really good. I am hooked.
