LogMeIn is a god-send for people like myself who remotely troubleshoot computer issues. LogMeIn has a service called that allows me to simply connect to a customer’s computer to troubleshoot within 5 minutes or so assuming the remote computer has a live, internet connection. Just click on the share link on the page, have the customer install the software, and then type in the code they have so you can join their computer screen and move around their computer to being troubleshooting. It makes providing technical support remotely very easy no matter where the other computer is located. It doesn’t matter if it’s across the country or across the street. The best part is you don’t need to reconfigure any firewalls, anti-virus software, etc to get this to work. Less work on walking through customers on just getting the software to work and more time to troubleshoot and fix computer issues over the net. It doesn’t get better than this. I even use LogMeIn’s free version of their regular software so that I can connect to my computer at home from work if I need to. Not only is it good for helping out customers, but you can also remotely connect to your friend’s, relatives, etc computers too with very little effort and ease. This service is awesome.
