I came in here a few days before Christmas looking for a quick snack after running Horn Pond. What a lucky find! This little Italian bakery had a line out the door, but very well managed. They had staff taking orders down the line so people were able to get what they needed before they made it to the register. The pizza was very good(large square slices), and evidently the sweets were worth waiting for too(I can’t comment on these… yet. :D)

Attention Patriots Fans: I brought fresh Rolls from Roma’s bakery to a tailgate at the Buffalo game and they were outstanding. Now I buy fresh rolls twice a week. Today’s food tip: House Brand Tuna fish from Wegman’s in a fresh sausage/sub roll from Roma’s. Wow !! you will not be disappointed.

Best fresh bread hands down. The pizza is outstanding. The pastries are kinda hit and miss; some they do well, some not so much. Same is true for any bakery. Their Zeppolis are amazing, I wish they’d make them year round. Sandwiches are solid. Don’t get your bread anywhere else.

Updated review: I went back and explained what happened on my previous visit. I was given store credit which I’m fine with. Although I’m not especially excited about trying new items now. I was a bit disappointed because the woman who assisted me kept saying everyone loves our pizza, we sell a ton. And basically acted like it was me, not their product. Even after showing a picture. Whatever. I changed to a 3 instead of 2 stars for the store credit. But the pizza was so bad and getting over charged so irritating that I can’t justify anything higher than 3 stars.

Desserts are really really good. Sandwiches are good. I like getting the pizza dough to make at home. The pizza they bake is also good.

I will preface this review by saying i frequent this deli 3 or more times a week for lunch as i work down the street. Every time this one person makes my sandwich’s they are terrible! She’s slow, rude, and doesn’t know anything on the menu. I order the firehouse sub which is right on their menu, and twice I’ve ended up with buffalo chicken salad because she didn’t know how to make it. No matter how myself or people i work with order they’re food it is always wrong. Every time. Today i ordered an Italian sub with extra vinegar and light oil and i got practically none of both. I’ve worked in food service for many years off and on and it is NOT difficult to make food like this. ESPECIALLY when the items are ONTHEMENU! This girl should NOT be working here. If she doesn’t like something you don’t hear the end of it until she finally finishes making it incorrectly. A co-worker wanted 2 slices of pizza today and guess what, only one slice left. maybe a pizza should have been made 20 minutes before the last slice was there… common sense. But it all makes sense to me now because i called to speak with a manager and low and behold there was not one there. I was told,“the owners come in in the morning and usually leave by noon”. I asked to talk to someone that was left in charge and amazingly there wasn’t one. Just because your business has been around for ages and everyone knows about you doesn’t mean you can be so lax and hire incompetent staff that doesn’t know anything and doesn’t have enough sense to make another pizza before someone asks for the last slice. This kind of complacence in any business is sad and pitiful. The owners and all of their lazy staff should be ashamed to serve anything. and by the way, all of the above has happened numerous times since April 2014 and now I’m just fed up. If they weren’t right around the corner and the gamble that someone else may make my food i would never step foot in this place. I will not be going back again. Hey Roma’s… that’s at least 5 daily customers you just lost because of your incompetence.

I have been going to Roma’s since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. I wouldn’t let that color my feelings on the place though. I always expect that a high quality mom and pop operation will eventually decline in quality and start pandering to the masses. I left Massachusetts for ten years, where I was unable to find pizza, subs, or Italian Pastry that could match what I can find here.(Well, save perhaps that delicious pizza I had in Neptune, NJ or the cannoli in Omaha from an off-the-boat couple’s restaurant that sadly no longer exists). When I finally made my grand re-entrance, Roma’s was one of the first places I went. Looks like it grew up and became adult-sized Roma’s! The cannoli here is better than Mike’s Pastry in my opinion, but that’s because I don’t like the consistency of the ricotta mixture in Mike’s cannoli. It is unlike any texture I’ve had in a cannoli and is almost a tad too sweet. Anyways, Roma’s has my favorite and it’s always fresh filled. I don’t like the way they make EVERYthing, but there is quality in all the baked goods and hot foods and great attention to customer service. You will pay for that quality, but it’s not altogether unreasonable for the satisfied feeling your belly gets afterward. You also get a great selection of items and if I ever need Italian food catered, this is the place I will go to first. With the selection and pretty high standards, there should be something for everyone here to enjoy.

Best Italian sub in New England, freshest Scali bread and cannolis that can well compete with any in the North End.

I’ve been to Roma’s several times. I’ve tried their lobster tail, Tiramisu, cookies and a variety of cakes. I saw a lot of people buying breads from there as well. Everything here are always fresh and tasted amazing. Of course you can compared them with Mike’s or Modern pastry but one thing this place stand out is their amazing customer service! Everyone that works here are always friendly, very knowledgeable and spend time recommending or explaining your option to you. Don’t get me wrong. I am a big of Mike’s and Modern pastry. Their service is good but don’t you ever felt rush when you were there? To everyone that works at Roma’s bakery– Please keep up the good work! Thank you for being so helpful any day of the time. You all are amazing!

If you’ve seen any of my previous reviews, you know that I am dying for a good pizza(at least I was dying for one). While sitting in traffic one morning I happened to notice that this place sells pizza. It’s pretty good and it is H-U-G-E. The pizza box probably won’t fit in your front seat. It’ll have to go in the back, and will take up the entire seat. I was anything but impressed with their Italian pastr

Grew up going here for hermits when I was a child, and after moving to Woburn my mother and I ventured over for some of their Sicilian pizza and the hermits. My mother was disappointed in the sugary aspect to the hermit(claimed they had changed in the past 30 years) I thought they tasted delicious. Pizza was great, tasty, and buy it by the slice. Great feel of the North End tucked into Main Street in Woburn.

Since we couldn’t make it to the North End to get cannoli’s, we opted for Roma’s – my husband’s family has gotten items from them in the past. There’s free street parking on this main road; but it’s busy. There’s also a deli connected to the bakery; but we only got sweets. We got regular cannoli’s with chocolate chips and a mocha cake. There’s definitely many other options for sweets – cookies, cakes, pies, etc. The cannoli’s we got are almost $ 3. I just can’t help but compare it to Modern Pastry and Mike’s Pastry in the North End. I definitely prefer those; but these did the job for a cannoli craving. And the mocha cake was good; but I’m not much of a fan of thick frosting. it’s funny that it’s called«mocha cake» when the mocha is only the frosting and not the cake itself.

You name it, and Roma’s got it. Cookies? Breads? Pastries? Name it, and Roma’s got it. This is as close to a full-service bakery as one can find just about anywhere in the greater Boston area. Starting with the basics and essentials(breads, cakes,) Roma handles these well, with a strong selection and a supply that never seems to run out. Pastries are its strongest product line, with everything from tiramisu to danish, to scones, to cinnamon rolls… you name it, and it’s behind the counter. For lunch or an early dinner, Roma also has calzones and pizza. A good bakery offers a strong selection of items in keeping with particular seasons and here Roma really stands out. At Easter, Christmas or any other significant holidays Roma rolls out traditional rolls, cakes and pastries. I particularly have my taste buds ready for some carrot cake that I’ll be savoring around Easter. Mmmm. Quantity and selection are Roma’s strongest suits. Their products taste really good — not excessively noteworthy, but good. Prices are reasonable and competitive with other bakeries in neighboring towns. Service can be a bit slow but, then again, bakery items aren’t fast food. While it may not offer the most unique selection in the world it’s got more of what one goes to a bakery for than just about anywhere else. Always a favorite of mine whenever I’m in Woburn.

Not a terrible place… I spied pizza, tonz of cookies, sweet rolls, and fancies. Some CAKES, and Portuguese sweet rolls. I stopped in on a whim, as I was picking up lunch next door. The service was ok, store clean. Not a TON of product. Appeared to cater more to the sweet tooth. The hermits and seasonal pumpkin spice cookies I got were just average. I would stop in again for a pizza slice. Other than that… SNOOOZE!
