Shirley Meadows Ski Area

The season is almost hereeeeee!!! I’m so excited.
And if you’re like me and want something closer to home and are looking to switch it up a bit from Mountain High, this place is just as fun and has more friendly people in my opinion. Not to mention it is less crowded!
One thing though is that there still are alot of beginners here… but at the same time there are more advanced steeper and longer slopes than mountain high.
If youre daring, like I was, you can even follow the harder paths amongst the trees created by other dare devils, and slide through fresh powder. And if youre just way past that shit and are goin pro, theres «the backwoods», which is a trail that leads behind the slopes straight to the entrance/​parking lot. As for me, I’ve never gathered up enough courage to go down that steep trail of death…
Oh, did I mention they have a delicious snack place?
