Food here is really great, pizza has a wonderful char and was just splendid. Staff was friendly and attentive, atmosphere is intimate. The dining area is quaint and relatively quiet, service was a bit slow but there were a ton of takeout orders being taken and handled. Seems to be a hot spot for takeout and with good reason! Great food but next time I will order ahead for takeout.

Pizza is amazing, but so is every dish I have ever had from here! Baked stuff shrimp pizza is out of this world fantastic — and a go to during Lent! Also have a great buffalo chicken and mashed potato and bacon pizza. Great service! Small space, so I do wish they took reservations or did call ahead seating for smaller parties.

I have been coming to New Haven Pizza in Wolcott since they opened and regret to say my family and friends will Never go there again! I made a simple request to have my 7 pizzas cut in squares even offered to pay extra and was told NO… If it wasn’t the night before my party I woulda went elsewhere but I’m not one to cut off my nose to spite my face. I have and will continue to tell everyone I know about the arrogance and lack of respect this place has for its customers… I’m not only mad but disappointed! They deserve a negative star not the 1 I gave them!

Love their pizza! Service is unfortunately terrible. We can appreciate this place for takeout but after attempting to eat in several times and having beyond horrible experiences each time, we’ve vowed to never try again. The last time we were in, not only were we ignored for the first 20 minutes(pretty sure the two waitresses on were fighting over who would be burdened with us) but we also overheard these two gems talking very negatively about a table of 4 that had just left. Wish I could have told them it’s far from them being«a bad group to wait on» and much more along the lines of them being lazy, unmotivated and inattentive waitresses. Did, however, remind them tips are optional. I work for tips so I can count the times that I chose to leave nothing but having no professionalism about what(and who) they choose to talk about at their cash register as if no one else can hear them blows the fact that we felt completely slighted the whole time right out of the water!

You can’t go wrong at New Haven Pizza Co. The only problem with it is I can try anything but their pizzas. I go thinking I might try a dinner, then when I get there the baked stuffed shrimp pizza and the mashed potato pizza call my name. We will order a couple of others when we are with more people but usually stick to the two. I have had mashed potato pizza at quite a few different places, but the carmelized onions put it over the top and make theirs my favorite. The baked stuffed shrimp pizza is like no other pizza I have had. Went last week and actually had the buffalo shrimp pizza in place of the baked stuffed shrimp and was not disappointed. The crust on all of their pizzas is the best I have ever had. We have ordered the eggplant fries which were great. Their salads are also very good. When a conversation about pizza starts I always mention New Haven Pizza Co. And when people try it they are hooked as well. Who needs to go to New Haven for pizza when you go to this place. My kids get disappointed when we say we went there and they were not included, my kids don’t eat shrimp and even like the baked stuffed shrimp pie.

I called to order a large pizza as I normally do at least twice a week. They told me 20 minutes. When I got there they just put the pizza in the oven. I spoke with the owner and he didn’t even seem to care. He said he’s been in business for 35 years. I’m taking my business to Wolcott pizza down the street; maybe he will care now!

Traveling all over the state for work can be a hassle, especially when you are hungry and don’t know where to eat. The upside is that every now and again, you discover a little gem that you would’ve never experienced had you not been driving through a random little town. I found that hidden jewel in the New Haven Pizza Co. Danielle, my server, had a welcoming smile and was so courteous and helpful. I had the sausage, bean and spinach soup and an Italian combo on a hard roll. The soup was one of the best I have ever had, including homemade. It was hearty, fresh and flavorful. The pasta was not overcooked so I knew it hadn’t been sitting there for days. it was so delicious, I had to order a separate portion to go. The meats on my sandwich were fresh and of the highest deli quality. The bread, which Danielle told me they get from New York, was fresh, light and crispy when toasted. If you are looking for a clean, homey, authentic, little Italian place with great food, this is THEPLACE. The next time I am working in this neck of the woods, I will definitely be stopping in at the New Haven Pizza Co.

With the abundance of good pizza in the Waterbury/Wolcott area, you have no shortage of decent options at your reach. New Haven Pizza Co. pizza is the best in the area. Thin crust, quality toppings, inventive choices – excellent. I have not had the menu choices other than the pizza, because why mess with perfection? The artichoke and carmelized onions and prosciutto is phenomenal. My kids stick with plain cheese, which is just great. The only reason I cannot go 4 stars is due to price. Their pizza is on the more expensive side – not outrageous for what you get, but a bit pricier than the other pizza places around. Having said that, there is a reason there is always a packed parking lot.

Read mostly positive reviews so decided to try this place. Hidden in a strip mall so drive by twice. Walked in saw sign to wait to be seated and looked around. Girl hanging near takeout counter just looked at me. I looked back at her, she sort of stretched her arms and said«gonna be like 20 minutes at least.» Not, «Hi, how are you?» Will see what else Unilocal has to offer

I cannot say enough about NHPC. Although I may be biased, because I was a former employee. I saw first hand the way a restaurant should be run. The ingredients are super fresh, and Frank uses nothing but the best. Everything is made from scratch, and I have never worked in a cleaner environment. From homemade pasta dishes to the famous Baked Stuffed Shrimp or Mashed Potato and Bacon pizza you cannot go wrong. They also make one of the best Italian combo grinders I’ve ever had. Frank and Marci take pride in their restaurant, and do a fabulous job running it. You will not be disappointed!

The pizza is great compared to most of the places around it, but compared to actual new haven pizza, it is below average. Great place to go to if you don’t actually live near new haven.

Just left after waiting 10 minutes while no one acknowledged us. We wanted to eat in the dining room, stood by the sign that said ‘please wait to be seated’, 3 young girls behind the counter made eye contact yet never said anything to us, and a young man inside the dining room who was setting up a table also looked at us and said nothing. I may pick up food here, but clearly the customer service is terrible. I don’t want to eat at a place that doesn’t want my business.

Best pizza in the area. Clam pizza is amazing, margarita pizza is authentic. How about mashed potatoes and bacon? Just like Bar in New Haven. If you crave pizza the way it is supposed to be made. This is the place.

My husband and I come here often. I love thin style pizza and there’s is one of the best, in particular, the fresh tomato and fresh mozzarella is wonderful. The quality of the food is always good. I am very fussy when it comes to meatballs and I must say their meatballs are really awesome. The dinners are consistently good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing pizza! Being from out of town this is the second pizza place in CT I have fallen in love with. Make sure you try the mashed potato and bacon pie and the fresh tomato and fresh mozzarella with basil sauce pie. My mouth is watering just writing this review. Don’t get me wrong in Jersey we do good pizza but nothing like these specially pies. Can’t wait to visit my friends again and stop in here!

My regular go to pizza place is closed today, so I decided to check this place out. Here’s my assessment: 1). The antipasto is delicious: I haven’t seen marinated eggplant on a salad since my grandparents were alive; brings back lovely memories. It also comes with super fresh sliced Italian bread with butter. 2). The pizza crust is thin and cooked perfectly. 3). The pizza sauce is definitely special and really flavorful, much like that of pizzas in New Haven. Super fresh. 4). The young lady who answered the phone and rang me up when I arrived was extremely personable and sweet. 5). The one thing that I, as a pizza purist, judge my pizza on, is the cheese: I ALWAYS order extra cheese. Now to be fair, maybe the girl didn’t hear me, twice, when I said«extra cheese», or maybe because it’s not a listed item, like peppers or olives, but for me, it’s the difference between a 4 star pizza vs. a 5 star. This cheese tasted good, there just wasn’t enough of it. People who love cheesy pizza don’t mind paying for extra cheese just as they would any other item. And there you have it. :)

Looked them up online as I don’t have a menu from there, and they do have their own web site, with their menu and prices listed. I orders two medium 3 topping pizzas and figured my bill should be around $ 24.00. I go to pick them up and they charge me $ 31.00. When I complain the price is more than is listed on their own web site, I’m told they just changed the prices two days ago… So what? You didn’t update the web site, which is what I based my order on, and even coming to your pizza house in the first place, so you should honor your own prices, posted on your own web site. I complained about it so much, the owner came over and said well you have a point, its still $ 31.00. If I have a point, how about refunding me the six dollars you just overcharged me? Then he tells me he doesn’t run his own web site and its not his fault the prices aren’t updated and whats he supposed to do call every person in town and tell them the prices changed? He’s got old menus and old ads everywhere. Is he supposed to honor those too? Listen dude, if I have a coupon that expired six months ago, fine. If I have a menu from two years ago, then I wouldn’t complain if I came in and the price had gone up, but I looked the prices up on YOUROWNWEBSITE20 minutes before I came down there. And then I’m quoting you the posted prices on YOUR web site and you have the nerve to say No, its not that much different, like you don’t have a clue what prices you have posted there. You’re right, six dollars isn’t really that much difference. Maybe you should have just not charged me the extra six dollars then and made me happy. The point is, you brought me in there with one price, and then charged me a higher price. It’s called bait and switch. And as for the pizzas themselves. We ordered two New Haven«Specialty Pizzas» with three toppings each. The crust was limp and soggy, under cooked in the center, although the crust along the edge was nice and overly blackened. I live like 5 minutes away and the pizzas weren’t even warm when i got them home. The toppings and sauce were both pretty flavorless. I can tell you they definitely weren’t worth $ 15.00 each. If you’re going to charge me that much much for a medium pizza, you should impress me with some flavor and some crust than doesn’t sag in the middle when you pick it up. Everybody gives this place 5 stars so maybe I just happened to hit them on a bad night, but that doesn’t explain the attitude I got from the counter staff and the owner. If that is the best you can do for pizza, you should go back to new haven and learn a little more technique. If you want to give this place a try, I suggest ordering something besides pizza, and double check… no triple check the prices before they give you the food. As for me, at this point, after the way the owner treated me, and the only so-so pizza, I probably won’t be back.

Ordered a couple of grinders tonight along with a Caesar salad for take-out. My meatball grinder was very good, BUT my gf’s eggplant grinder was totally grease saturated. I was willing to trade grinders with her until I tasted it – was hideous ! The thing was so incredibility bad that I hopped back into my car and drove the 3 miles back to NH Pizza for a refund. They did apologize and refunded my money for the eggplant grinder. As for the Caesar salad, was nothing really special. My 2nd time ordering take-out from New Haven pizza, and I have not been impressed. The time before I tried a chicken parmesan pizza — it was OK, but nothing special. With all the choices for Italian food in the area, can’t see giving this place another chance.
