Delicious! Boom Boom shrimp and pretzel appetizers are awesome. It’s a very popular place so you may have to wait 45 minutes to get a table but you can get drinks from the bar as you wait.

Sure, lots of restaurants and supper clubs have Friday Fish Frys, but how many offer BLUEGILL? Coppertop does, along with the best fried mushrooms I’ve ever tasted, a wide selection of draft and bottled beers, a bunch of perfectly tuned TVs — and friendly barkeeps who will gladly turn to your requested station without giving you any grief — and great, really friendly service. Add to that some really good sandwiches, interesting homemade pizzas, and a nice selection of steak, salmon, and prime rib specials, and you’ve got the makings of a great bar. The outdoor patio is large and spacious, with room for a band, and entertainment is also provided several nights a week indoors. The crowd is well-​mannered and friendly; we ran into a lawyer friend from HS days, and a young couple let us coo at their infant between bites. No, not of the baby, the food’s too good! A really great find in the middle of nowhere, which will become somewhere once you’ve checked it out.
