Yum! Best food even counting my trips to Mexico! Best Mexican I ever had. I had a chimichanga and Hubbie had enchiladas The chips and salsa are to die for. So crunchy and tasty. You won’t be disappointed. Go and enjoy. Buenos noches!

Very good mexican fare at a reasonable price. The place is kind of small but not too small. Service was average.

One of the only restaurants open late on Mondays(meaning after 9 pm) so I gave it a try. This is a basic rice and refried joint but the food was very good. For Wolfeboro, the prices were reasonable and the service was good. Will visit for sure the next time I am in town.

This is a very small restaurant, definitely should’ve made a reservation. After waiting for a table we waited for pretty much everything else too. The waitress was busy and overwhelmed and it took a while for her to come over to us. We weren’t in a rush, so it wasn’t a big deal. It was a little annoying that our margaritas came AFTER the meal though. Again, not her fault, the place was maybe just understaffed on a busy night. The food was excellent. Not huge portions, but enough. Highly recommend the enchiladas combo and the carnitas. Chimichangas were also a hit. The only thing we didn’t really love was the chips and salsa. Make a reservation and don’t go if you’re in a rush.

What a nice find. Good service. Very good food. Our group tried a variety of entrees. All well done. I had a enchiladas combo. One red, one green, one mole. All very good. Spicey but not just heat. Great flavours. One entrée was a bit skimpy portion wise. But just slightly so.

Went to this restaurant 3 years ago. Had a poor experience and hadn’t been back til today(Mothers Day) Very strange /poor experience. First, there was one teenage female server/hostess/bartender? Poor girl never had a chance. Secondly, there was only one kitchen staffer/busser. The server, pleasant young lady, couldn’t get anything right. Attributing this in large part due to being left alone on restaurant island on one of the busiest days for dining out. Pronounced spilling of water, forgot to bring menus yet asked for our order, etc. Serving cycle completely out of order with other tables sat later, served meals. Being Mothers Day we had children with us and when able to order, we asked for Nachos to feed them first. The Nachos were what finally led us to leave(after paying for drinks & tipping the multitasking young lady) I have eaten in Mexico, San Diego & Southern California and the Southwest plenty of times. This was the first time I have ever seen a order of baked Nachos where a round dinner plate came to the table, heaping with melted cheese, guacamole, assorted greens, on top of(6) chips. When my wife asked the server, the response was«I know, that’s how we serve them here» Maybe in 3 more years we will try again…

Delicious food, dedicated owners who value the customer. Make an early reservation, as the dining area is relatively small and can fill up quickly, even in winter.

This is our Go To place in Wolfeboro on a Friday night, especially off-season. As others have said the Guacamole is great, the drinks are also good.

I love quesadillas! I have tried them all over Wolfeboro. However it was a huge disappointment when I ordered it here. The veggies inside consisted of carrots and potatoes. Can we say starch? It was pretty gross.

See my other comments. Best Mexican in years, lots of food for lunch prices. Guacamole is unmatched! Understands Gluten-free issues; seems like chef made food special for the wife!

Excellent Mexican food. Rivals Rosa Mexicano in NYC. Try the enchiladas combo. Great mole sauce.

This restaurant was such a treat and a hidden gem. We were there on a quiet night but we have to believe it would be busy on any other night. We ordered the Chile en Nogada and it was simply delightful! Sweet, slightly spicy, textural — all you want in a stuffed chile concoction. One of the best Mexican entrees we’ve had. We also ordered the enchilada combo and were quickly impressed with the salsa verde enchilada. We moved to the«red» and happily devoured it. The absolute crème was the mole sauce on the third enchilada — spicy yet smooth and satisfying. No doubt one of the best Mexican restaurants we have enjoyed.

The tableside guacamole is ok — I tend to think of it as overpriced. However the fried ice cream was a cool tableside experience. I highly recommend it — especially if you’re with a group because the serving is meant to be shared. Their mole is impressive — sweet(almost chocolate) with a touch of warm spice. Thumbs-up!

Our table of 8 was just blown away with amazing food. Best margaritas! So obvious everything is made from scratch! We’re so coming back next time we’re in the area. We made the effort to go out of our way to make it here and boy was it worth the trip!

This place provides a truly genuine Mexican experience. The atmosphere of a small cantina, the friendliness of the staff, and the mouth-watering authentic Mexican dishes make visiting a must! The guacamole prepared tableside, the tortilla soup with freshly cooked chicken, the mole sauce, and the carne asada tacos are just a few of items that one is guaranteed to enjoy. Portions are hearty and prices are fair. This is a restaurant that you will want to visit over and over.

I consider myself a Mexican aficionado… Ok let’s just say I love Mexican and I’m picky about it. This place was surprising good. 8 of us ordered take-out and everyone was happy with there choices. I the TACOSDECOCHINITAPIBIL. They were fantastic. There was one glitch though. When we got back home there was only one bad of chips for 3 orders of nachos and 2 orders of guacamole. But when we showed back up at the restaurant to retrieve some more they bent over backwards to make it right. Not only giving us an reasonable amount of chips but throwing in deserts. I guess in some places the customer is still always right. Some places anyway.

I’m no New Hampshire expert or anything, but I really don’t think that you’ll find the phrase: «Known for great Mexican food,» listed along with other«The Granite State» or, «State Bird: The Purple Finch,» kind of New Hampshire facts. This is the reason that I arched a highly-raised, «Really!?» eyebrow of skepticism to the idea of trying El Centenario for dinner. But it was my olé buddy’s birthday and all up to him, so that’s what we did. The restaurant was cute and very cozy. The service was quick and very friendly. The chips were really strange in texture and tasted baked? «Oooohh nooooo…» I thought, «well at least these margaritas are deliciously strong.» Good margaritas are always a comfort, but weird chips might seem to predict a weird, possibly disastrous mealtime. Thankfully this was not at all the case. The chips and salsa were my only thumbs down. I would absolutely recommend the following dishes and I’d return to El Centenario for them any olé time: TACOSDECOCHINITAPIBIL: These tacos are stuffed with of juicy pork, slow-cooked in orange juice, achiote, and onions. DELICIOUS. ENCHILADASSUIZAS: Rolled tortillas filled with tender shredded chicken, topped with cheese and smothered in an excellently tasty tomatillo salsa verde. Live free or die! Try the tacos or enchiladas!

I was skeptical when our hosts suggested we get Mexican food in NH, but I was not disappointed! We went to El Centenario at 7 pm on a Friday night and the place was packed. Luckily, my grandma had made a reservation, so we were promptly escorted to a table. Because the place is so small, I would recommend making a reservation prior to visiting. While we were deciding what to order, the waitress provided us with chips and salsa. The salsa had a marinara-sauce-taste to it, and the chips were fresh. Entrée prices are a bit pricey, but portions are large. My chicken fajitas came on two plates and a separate steamer for the tortillas! The meat and veggies were well-seasoned and almost perfectly-cooked. The guacamole was fresh and the best I’ve ever had. The refried beans were authentic and the closest thing I’ve had to the refried beans I ate while in El Salvador.(I also sampled my grandfather’s mole, which was delicious.) I would highly suggest this restaurant.
