Was disappointed, after hearing such great things about this place and reading all the positive reviews. First of all, for a place that primarily sells bread, they are lacking a slicer. The clerk said they are working to get one. Of greater disappointment, and my dealbreaker … Right in front of us, they emptied their dessert case of cookies to a single customer. This wasn’t one or two cookies, but dozens. I would think a business would have some sort of a policy on requiring bulk orders in advance. I took my business down the street to a bakery that appreciated my business and will not be going back to La Boca. Two stars(instead of one) because this place was good about answering phone when we called to verify holiday hours, was open on a Holiday and smelled delicious. Also, ample parking, easy to find in close proximity to downtown.

The French baguette and Guatemalan rolls are very good, cupcakes are also very good. Will definitely be a regular customer.

I called La Boca bakery during my layover at the airport to order my brother a graduation cake for 2 days later. The woman who took my order was friendly and polite and explained my options so I knew I was making the right decision with my order. They even called me the morning of my brothers graduation to ask if I wanted a little extra writing because there was some room left on the cake, which I was really impressed by. We didn’t get anything from the bakery except the cake but the breads and other baked goods looked great. From the moment we picked up the cake, I couldn’t wait to eat it. It looked and smelled great and ended up being one of the best cakes I’ve ever eaten. I just finished eating a slice and it was as delicious as the first. Thank you La Boca for a great cake! I don’t live in New Hampshire but would recommend this bakery to anyone in the area!

Our Very Special Birthday cakes were beautiful and delicious! We had plenty for our large gathering. However, what was left after dinner mysteriously disappeared before breakfast. Nobody seems to know what happened to it. Maybe we were visited by a bear?! Thank you Liz & Stephen!

The husband and I recently moved to the area and one night, craving a sweet treat, we consulted the Unilocal foodie guru and ended up seeking out La Boca. What a brilliant idea and a gorgeous find. We’ve been out three times now and have yet to discover a single item that isn’t outstanding. Half a dozen cookies of various flavors, the bourbon praline bread pudding, harvest bread, spice butter, pan de chocolate, and Sunday buns have all at some point come home with us. Tonight we got our hands on two slices of the triple coconut cake and those were as good as devoured pretty much as soon as we got in the door at home. Since you asked, because I know you did, they were absolutely heavenly. Moist cake, the perfect balance of coconut and delicious rich icing. I seem to recall there were cookies as well, but apparently my dearest husband scarfed all of them without sharing. I suppose I don’t mind, it just gives me more reason to head back over. Preferably as soon as possible.

This place is absolutely fantastic. It’s right next to the(also fantastic) Wolfeboro Meat Market in an adorable space that smells simply delicious. The owners/bakers/shopkeepers are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and dang can they bake! Their coffee cake is out of this world. The cake is moist, and just the right amount of sweet(I may have detected a slight almond flavor? OMG it’s so good…). The crumble topping balances the cake with some spice and a rich caramel-y flavor, and altogether the cake is satisfying without being heavy.(Why are so many coffee cakes so heavy these days? C’mon people…). Their fresh-baked bread is also to die for. They bake all the bread daily, just as it should be, and you can absolutely tell. The baguette is the perfect combination of crusty outside and soft, airy middle. Although I haven’t personally tasted them yet, I have heard rave reviews of their bagels, which are available on Sundays.(They make their own herbed cream cheese and butter with herbs they grow themselves behind the bakery. They also had an Orange-Honey Butter that I managed to resist, but just barely.) Overall a fantastic bakery, by far the best in town.
