The staff for the retail portion of the store is satisfactory. Selection and prices are typical for Rite-Aid. Pharmacy staff recently went through changes and I’d hoped to see improvement. They are still generally unfriendly and inefficient. Prescriptions get lost and go unfilled. Asking for them to match the Wal-Mart prescription prices(a Rite-Aid policy) is an inconvenience to them. I try to avoid this pharmacy when possible. Photo developing is acceptable, typical prices and quality, much better than Spectrum Photo. However, DONOT have digital prints done here! Unlike places such as WalMart, this Rite Aid does NOT use the same photo printer that is used for standard film printing. This Rite Aid’s digital print quality is far below what your home printer and some decent photo paper can achieve. Parking is a nightmare, being shared with a grocery store and dry-cleaner off the main street. I have witnessed several near-accidents and again, I try to avoid this lot if possible. Update 09÷19÷09: Further experiences with the pharmacy have convinced me to avoid this Rite Aid entirely, except in emergencies. On one recent visit, I requested that they match Wal-Mart’s prescription pricing. As I stated previously, this is a Rite Aid policy, and is meant for customer retention. However, the pharmacy associates informed me that the nearest Wal-Mart is an hour away and they don’t match prices with it. So I offered to take my prescription back and fill it at Wal-Mart instead. They grudgingly honored the lower prices. It then took four days(with no phone call notice) for them to fill the prescription of a simple blood pressure medicine. Two weeks later, my wife called to ask if they carried a certain item advertised on the Rite Aid website. The pharmacy associate who answered the phone was rude and dismissive, she was unsure of what my wife was describing and without checking simply said they didn’t have it. Upon visiting, they did. It seems they don’t want or need returning customers, so we’re now quite happy to oblige them. Update 6÷10÷11: Okay, I’m a glutton for punishment… Out of sheer desperation, I dropped off a roll of film for developing. I was told they no longer offer 1 hour developing, which isn’t a surprise in the digital age. They promised it’d be done by the end of the day. I was a little unnerved that they left the envelope on the counter as a reminder to themselves, but I trusted their system. Several hours later we returned. The envelope was still sitting there with my unprocessed canister of film inside. I informed them I would take the film back and they apologized.
