Charlie’s is like going back in time. Great food. Friendly service. Truly an awesome experience. The root beer is the best. Try the Pizza Burger, Cheddar Balls, Onion Rings, French Fries… it’s all good.

Very greasy! Expensive for the portions but their cheesebits are good! I feel like their fries and other fried goodies are from a regular grocery store. Will give them another try.

Truly a Wood River tradition a bit pricey but the food is great, service is friendly, and it’s a fun blast from the past.

While they are a bit pricey these days — it is still delicious! Very Nostalgic — Love that they are a surviving Drive-​In!!! They have the best little «Special» Burgers! I am always anxious for April 1st to get here! They do only take CASH though — so go prepared!!! They have a pretty wide variety on their menu too! But — for me it’s just the Special Burgers that keep me coming back! I loved going there, from the pool as a child. Now I live in MO — but still get here as often as I can! Open only from April 1st to October 31st!!!

Five stars for nostalgia! Horray!
I used to come here in high school when Jack-​In-​The-​Box got a little old. The food was just OK, but the rootbeer was amazing! They make their own and put it in frosted mugs and to this day I haven’t found a better one.
It’s nice that places like this still exist. I try to visit whenever I come back to see my family. I even have a t-​shirt! Thanks Nichole!
On a side note, nobody knows what in the world a «Silver Fros» is. It’s a mystery I’ve been wanting to solve for fifteen years.

Cheese Fries, Charlie burgers, Fried Broccoli? Holy Crap a Delicious Heart Attack!
This is THE place to go From April until October. Order their root beer! Seriously. Its better than ANY root beer I have EVER tried! I don’t even drink soda! They have awesome Ice, but I don’t get it in my Root Beer, but its great too. Seriously try the Fried Broccoli with Ranch Dressing and the Cheese Fries. You won’t be dissapointed!
