Good Knight Cupcakes and Cookies

September 2015: I’m from the st louis metro area. I was in charge of the bakery order for 30 plus guests for a baby shower (which was also being held in the stl metro area). I contacted SEVERAL bakeries in the stl area and quickly got frustrated. Either their prices were ridiculously high and/​or «cake pops» were not an option. Cake pops were a must for this shower. I searched and I searched and I finally stumbled upon Good Knight. They had lots of great reviews on FB, and… they had cake pops! These ladies were so open to creating adorable baked items that would match the shower theme. It was genuinely clear that they were sincere about providing good service. Bonus? The prices were fair and very reasonable. Next bonus? Everyone loved the baked treats! At the shower, I received so many compliments on how beautiful and delicious everything was! Although I was sure I had ordered way too much, there were almost no leftovers. I’m glad I trusted my instincts and took a chance on Good Knight. It was a good experience in every way. I will definitely make the 30 – 40 minute drive from stl to use them again.

Amazingly good cupcakes and cookies! Their German Chocolate cupcakes are the best I have ever had! The amount of detail these two ladies put into their decorating is amazing! We have ordered Sponge Bob and Handy Manny cookies for my son’s birthday parties and have been extremely happy with both the craftsmanship and taste! I am so happy that they have opened a shop in Wood River!

A co-​worker of mine asked Good Knight Cupcakes and Cookies to make a cookie cake for my birthday. The cookie was not only beautiful but delicious too! I took the rest of the cookie home, it was hard to keep my husband (and myself) from going back for more and more and more!!!

I don’t like when I have to give a family owned business a bad review. This week’s bakery crawl took me to Good Knight Cupcake and Cookies in Wood River, IL. First off it is a little hard to get to the place, it is in a strip mall and you have to go down the road, make a U turn and come back. I arrived before 8 o’clock and either them had a huge rush, or they just don’t fill the shelves. They had maybe 5 cupcakes left in the case and two six packs of day old cupcakes. These were a bargain at $ 6 for the 6. We got Choco Mocha, Very Cherry, Cookie Dough and Peanut Butter Cup. They were very pretty and nicely presented, but they were dry and the icing was very sugary tasting. One word… disappointed.
