It’s pretty small but the prices are so low, it’s worth checking in at least every week! I’ve gotten a few $ 30 board games, brand new for $ 3 each. They often have special discount days, about once a month you can fill s large bag, with anything that isn’t in the case, for $ 10

After my morning yoga class, my mom called me to let me know that her car broke down on 95 on her way to Kings Dominion. Being the awesome daughter I am, I drove down South to switch cars with her so she could enjoy the rest of her day while I waited around for a tow truck to bring her SUV to the a local auto body shop. The auto body shop was located in the middle of nowhere between Harold and Cathy’s Dumfries Café and the ACTS thrift store. I had some time to kill while they were replacing my car’s belt so I decided to check out the Route 1 thrift scene. The store was sparse and I knew I wasn’t going to be finding any Louis Vuittons hiding in their heaps of clothes but I was surprised by the unique and affordable selection of items that they carried. A few gems that I found: — A hand carved baby cradle(that looked like it came out of a scene of Little House on the Prarie and was probably 100% haunted) for $ 30 — A quadruple set of Playskool exercise bikes(perfect for the set of quads in your life or great if you owned a day care) — Amy Grant’s debut cassette tape(before she became a homewrecker) — A bunch of 1950’s vintage side tables, bedroom sets, and kitchen caddies for under $ 45(it would cost at least $ 300 in DC) — A sizable collection of Bishop The Last X-Men Comics — A Gilbert Arenas jersey(boy people sure gave up on the Hibatchi quick!) Unfortunately they did not have what I was looking for(vintage pyrex casserole dishes) but I still found this place to have some fun quirky items. I left with an Indiana Jones«Tower of Doom» cassette tape as well as a soundtrack to «The Simpsons» television show(I’ve been singing Abu’s Bollywood song in my head all day) all for the low, low price of 79 cents!
