Horrible customer service. 1: they are by appointments only. 2: I asked to set up an appointment for Saturday to have a dress tailored and the woman that answered the phone said she would call me back to confirm. Never did … I don’t know how people expect to have a business if you don’t take the time to call a potential customer back. I found a place that are willing to do the service for me on the spot and are way more friendlier.

Everything during my wedding planning process was smooth and easy, besides my dress experience. Regretfully(and surprisingly) my dress buying experience was the most difficult and stressful. If I could turn time around, I would not have went to BellaChic for my gown. I had found my gown actually at a different boutique but decided I wanted to shop around at different boutiques to see if I could get a better price. BellaChic offered the best price for the gown and I couldn’t say no! They placed the order for my dress in November and said that the dress should arrive by February. Mid-February rolls around and I still hadn’t heard anything from the boutique. I emailed Towanna and she said she’d get back to me. When she did, I found out that it wouldn’t arrive until the beginning of April. That was already a two month delay. When I came in for my fitting, I opted to get the alterations done at BellaChic. That was my biggest mistake yet of my whole wedding experience. The seamstress that fitted me(her name was Q) did all my measurements etc… I had asked her to add to also sew together a veil for me to match with the dress. She took my payment and we scheduled a visit for mid-May for my fitting after alterations. Literally just a few days before the fitting, Towanna emailed me with this message: «I just wanted to update you to let you know when you come in on Saturday you will be meeting with my other seamstress. There will not be any additional charges to you.» To me that just sounds like my dress is done and that the new seamstress will help with any additional alterations needed. NOPE. I had to send out some follow up emails in order to understand her VAGUE email. Apparently, she let go of Q and that she decided to hire a new one just a few days before my fitting. Also, she failed to even know the status of my veil. After a couple more emails, she confirmed that Q should be done with my veil before I meet with the new seamstress. So I was a little bit more relieved. I came in for the dress fitting to meet with the new seamstress and guess what — no veil! Shocker right? NOT. She had made up some lame excuse that by the time Q ran to the store the night before that they were closed etc etc… I was like fine,… you had a full month to work on the veil and you just decided to start last night? Poor planning in my opinion. I did express to Towanna I was worried of all the delays that was happening and this was her response: «Your gown was ordered in December. So it was due mid March — early April. I think we may have been off by a week or so. The manufacturer is generally really good about notifying the retailer of any such delays so that we are able to communicate that to our clients.» Sadly, that was all a lie — I came in to buy the dress in November and she verbally said February it would come in. Their boutique wasn’t late by a week or so but again, more like two months. No communication to me whatsoever — I had to be the one reaching out to her to find out the status. I let that slide as well. The new seamstress, Kim, was much better. She was much more thorough with making sure everything was on point. Within two weeks, she was done with alterations. No veil again so Towanna finally came out with the truth that Q wasn’t suppose to have taken payment from me for the veil and that she had used to take payment and not actually deliver the service. Towanna eventually refunded me for what I had paid for the veil, which I appreciated. Honestly, in the end, I was happy with my dress. But I am giving this boutique a 1 star because of their lack of [clear] communication, inconvenience to customers, and their deceiving ways of doing business. They made the time leading up to myself getting the dress very stressful — At some points I worried if the alterations would turn out OK and as a bride, I don’t feel the reassurance from Towanna and her boutique. A bride should never feel that way with any vendor. Thankfully, this was the only vendor I had issues with throughout my entire wedding planning experience. Ladies — I especially do not recommend them for any types of alterations. Find another local tailor or seamstress instead. My alterations in total costed $ 450.00.

I was a guest of an upcoming bride and I loved how private the fitting was. No rushing, no crowd, plenty of time to play dress up and find your prefect gown. The owner was a sweetheart! Very attentive and warm. I would truly recommend this boutique for the intimate, personal feel every bride deserves.

I shopped at the Davids Bridal in Woodbridge, VA and the Alfred Angelo in Springfield, VA and let’s just say it was a big waste of time. The selection is the worst. The stores are packed ALLTHETIME and the workers at both locations aren’t as knowledgeable as what I felt they should be. Guess I had been watching Say Yes To the Dress too many times and wanted the Kleinfeld experience. Well my wedding planner(Raquel of Events A La Chic) suggested that I check out Bella Chic and I am so glad I did. Who knew this little jewel was right in Woodbridge, VA? Shopping here is like shopping at a smaller Kleinfeld. Its appointment only which takes a lot of pressure off and helps minimize distractions. It provided for a more intimate shopping experience. The chic décor and ample selection of dresses makes this place just as unique and upscale as other boutique wedding shops. I am not an emotional person but I did cry when I found my dress. In fact when I started to cry Towanna came up and hugged me and my mom. We were doing a group hug right in the middle of the shop and afterward had champagne. Dress shopping is a headache but Towanna made the experience for both my mom and I very memorable. Every young woman should be have that«Say Yes to the Dress» experience with their loved ones. If you are in the Woodbridge area, please check them out!

I have to say, I had a great experience here. The owner is amazing! She answered our call from another salon at around five and met with us at 7:30 that same day. She was friendly, kind and gave us her undivided attention. She not only showed us the dresses in her salon, which was totally private and looked clean and modern, but also offered services from her seamstress. She was very helpful, a trait that is hard to find nowadays. She offered us many different solutions to help us get to the dream dress of a lifetime!
