Don’t let the website fool you, hiring this business was the biggest mistake I made. I paid for a whole house renovation and did not get quality work. Things were broken, tile was installed with 2 different colors. Instead of using spacers for the tile small pieces of cardboard boxes was used. No communication with workers. Implants given to the owner but was never fixed. Removed shower door was reinstalled poorly with bonding glue everywhere never cleaned up. Charged for services that was never completed. they do not pay attention to detail. Painting original paint still bled through, missing some areas throughout the walls. Damaged floor boards with debris, they painted over it instead of replacing the board that they damaged. Tried to make excuses, items weren’t covered up while taken items down. From the walls. Did not remove switch plates so there are 2 different colors. Had to fire them and he wanted full payment and the work was not completed. He stated he needed money to pay his workers. Things were removed from walls without my permission. Have to pay to have someone correct there mistakes. Owner did review there work but didn’t care what they were doing. They would make an appt to come by and do the work and wouldn’t show up and did not notify us. He talked as though he knew what he was doing but I was fooled. cabinet doors was suppose to be painted but they decided to paint the front only and did not finish it. When they broke items they tried to cover it up. They did not clean up after themselves. They pulled everything out but did not put anything back together. Door hardware was taken off but installed incorrectly. Bottom line find someone else if you are thinking about getting work done.

Good prices and fair execution of specific work. However, terrible attention to detail and little to no follow-​through /​follow-​up.
I contracted Building Solutions to do a complete renovation of my home. Their prices were the most competitive of all contractors surveyed however, the attention to detail was very much lacking. A number of items that had been specified to be «retained» during renovations were removed and discarded during the course of the renovations some of which were quite expensive and little concession was made for these mistakes. Items were improperly installed — wrong hardware (finally corrected), door hardware improperly installed (not corrected), electrical circuits not properly run/​tested (not corrected), storm-​door improperly installed (not corrected), and all telephone and cable wiring was cut during the renovations and required re-​installation by the telephone/​cable company.
The owner is a fairly nice and forthright individual but unfortunately his communication with his staff seems to be lacking considerably at times and you will generally deal with his «consultants» or «workers». I additionally made the mistake of paying the final bill before the work was 100% completed (caveat emptor) and once this was done I was disappointed to find quite a number of items that needed to be «touched up» or corrected. I was never able to maintain positive contact with the owner or staff again to correct the items in the house — he did come by once and made some very minor adjustments but did not correct the more significant issues.
I attempted to reach the owner a final time, both to discuss correcting the original work and to perform some new work, but after a couple of calls with his «consultant» I was «stood up» on the weekend that was discussed for the new estimate. I finally hired another contractor to «correct» the items that were never done properly in the first place which was to the tune of approximately $ 1,000 for the «re”-repairs of the items.
Bottom line — if you are looking for a low bid then this may be a place to consider — however, if you factor in the poor attention to detail and coordination that will be required to get the work done right then you should probably consider someone else to do the work.
