The owner, Guy D’Aniello, was a high category racer when I first met him over 30 years ago. He knows bikes! The shop carries a large selection of bikes, clothing, and accessories. I can’t imagine needing to go anywhere else

D’aniello’s is my go to bike shop in the New Haven area. Everyone who works here is not only extremely helpful and accommodating, but also down to earth, and not at all pushy. The shop is honest in their suggestions for what parts work and are worthwhile vs what might is the latest and greatest that might save a few grams, but not be the best fit for the intended purpose. The guys here are great mechanics who provide accurate cost and timeframes estimates for repair work as well. If you have the need for a new bike, service of a current one, bike accessories, or general bike related questions in the area, I’d highly recommend this shop.

If you want to do business where they truly care more about your satisfaction than making a large profit, this is where you want to go! I had a pretty decent Specialized road bike that I purchase from another bike shop about two years ago and just still was not feeling very comfortable on it so I decided I would trade it in and buy a new bike. After doing reach online about different bikes, I had come to the conclusion of what new bike I wanted. I called the store and the person who answered the phone did not rush me off and answered my question which by the way, I had called other shops and was quickly brushed off and heard«click» after the my first question. The person on the phone from Amity after answering my 5 questions confirmed they had the bike I wanted. A few days later, I went in and met with Guy. I told Guy I wanted to get the bike and then showed him the bike I was riding. He suggested that since I already have a pretty nice bike, that I consider just customizing this one to make it fit me better and have me riding more upright. Instead of spending several thousands as I was planning to do, it only cost me a few hundred! I just got the bike yesterday and Kurt did a fantastic job on customizing the bike!!! It is a work of art!!! I highly recommend this bike shop. I will be back myself.

This is a great bike shop. I’ve bought 4 – 5 bikes for our kids and my wife over the last 10 years or so and finally stepped up to a real road bike for myself. I’ve always found the staff to be helpful, professional and usually go above and beyond expectations. Will continue to shop here as long as we are riding bikes.

I scheduled an appt. for a bike fitting due to knee pain. I wanted an overall check up to make sure I was fitted properly. Kurt from D’Aniello’s spent over 2 hours with me going over every part of the bike. He was excellent, thorough and patient. This weekend I rode a metric century and experienced zero knee pain. I felt great on the bike and felt much more confident knowing that i had a fit. I am by way an experienced cyclist but even still whether you are a beginner or professional he still considered my needs important. THANKYOU!!! I will definitely recommend this shop.

I purchased a bike from D’aniello’s last week — my 3rd in 14 years. I like bike riding, but am not a «cyclist». I have always gotten good advice here. They know that I lean toward Cannondales simply because they originally were a CT company. Every time the staff takes the time to explain the pro’s and con’s of what I think I want and suggest alternatives — including less expensive ones. Yes, you can shop at bigger stores, You can shop the catalogs, You can shop online. But — if we want local bike shops to survive we have to patronize them. D’aniello’s is well worth the effort!

good shop, offering a mix of all types of bikes, the staff is very helpfull. justin is a great guy, very warm and friendly. some shops give off an ultra hip record store vibe but this is a nice comfortable place to shop.

D’Aniello’s Amity Bicycles is a family owned and operated shop operated with love for both the hobby of cycling and each other. We bought Dahon bikes from an online store and brought them in for servicing, and got great attention and service even though we had not bought them there. The bikes were fixed up quickly and expertly, and they found several safety issues that were quickly resolved. The shop is not the cheapest around, but offers a good selection of both used and new bikes from a number of companies. They are willing to take the time to walk you thru the selection, and to assist with the sizing and setup of anything you are buying. They even had a good selection of large helmets for riders with a large head, like me.
