I went here the day after Christmas to use my son’s gift card and I wanted to buy stuff too. I am an old gamer lol. There was a long line and a lot of people and they still asked and got what I needed. The line was long but even with that I waited 15 minutes. I feel the associates did a great job considering the amount of people in the store. Highly recommended!

UH-NO! Came in here on 09÷27÷14 around 4 pm to buy a used copy of a video game called«The Last Of Us» as a gift. There was about 3 people in the store at this point to two associates. The associate who helped me, Christopher I spoke with guaranteed me that the game I was purchasing, although used, was in perfect working order and came with a 7 day guarantee. GREAT I thought, bought my used game and left the store a happy customer. Got home, and gave the game to it’s intended recipient who promptly put it in their PS3 only to realize the game wont play! Weird we thought… until we looked at the bottom of the disc. It was completely damaged. And when I say damaged, I mean unplayable beyond repair. I was FURIOUS as I had seen Christopher had check the disc before putting it in the case and selling it to me. He assured me that it was playable and in great condition. What a joke. This morning(09÷29÷14) I called and spoke with the supposed assistant manager, Tiffany. Tiffany fed me line after line of excuses as far as why the disc could be damaged. Well Tiffany, EXCUSESDOMENOGOOD! They wont repair the disc, they certainly wont make the game play and they definitely wont appease me when YOUR associate lied and sold me a faulty product. Absolutely NO accountability whatsoever. We are taking the game back today for an exchange or refund under their 7 day policy and hoping to actually get a working game… HOPEFULLY. If there is an issue this time, you better believe I will personally contact a district manager as this is infuriating. Have some pride in your job and check your work before giving it to a paying customer. This is embarrassing for a business and they should be ashamed. I have added photos of the disc I was sold so you can make certain to check yours before you leave the store so you don’t end up in the same situation I did.

So I just moved to Virginia from Hawaii and let me say; the customer service here… nonexistent. Hawaii GameStops have better customer service then the 2 I visited today and I use to work for GameStop. Let me list some of the things that bothered me. No greeting as me and my brother entered.(when I worked at game stop or entered one in Hawaii we always greeted and received a greeting) No thank you for visiting as me and my brother left. There was also a customer infront of us and the employee didn’t thank them for their business.(I would always thank the customer for their business as they left and would always receive one when I left.) There was only one employee at the counter. If there were more employees working at the time they were probably in the back doing nothing. Me and my brother may have came in on a bad day I’m not sure but we really didn’t feel welcomed at this GameStop.
