Food is inconsistent, comes out cold and placing orders are a crapshoot… maybe you’ll get what you ordered maybe you won’t! Staff comes off abrasive and annoyed when you request what you’ve ordered to be fixed. Tables were dirty as well as the back kitchen upon glancing back. Maybe it was because they were busy? I’ve been here on several occasion but as of lately it’s been a steadily downward spiral with regard to quality and service! After this recent visit I’ll just resort to preparing my own meals at home! Good luck and thanks for reading!

Wife and I have eaten lunch here several times. Nothing too crazy, but good food at reasonable price with quick service. I stop in occasionally for a burrito when I’m nearby.

Went for dinner. Been here few times and I would have to say food is good and pretty fast for Friday night dinner. Workers are nice and willing to help. I got number 4 with was ¼ chicken with few pork ribs. Got rice and fries as side dish and they were fresh and great. Ribs were little dry for my taste but had a good flavor. Chicken was good. Also had chicken taco and they were great. Lots of chicken and was good. If u haven’t tried this place give them a try.

Underwhelmed. I ordered the Chimichanga. It was small. Like regular burrito size. It was good put not worth $ 9.40

I was a little surprised to see pupusas buried in the menu of otherwise generic Mexican-American dishes. It’s rare to find pupusas, but they’re done well here and reasonably priced, too. Try the fried plantains, they’re amazing! Other dishes are merely average but these two guarantee I’ll be back.

Very unhappy with the service here. The quality of the food was very good but they messed up a part of each member of the family’s order. I ordered a steak burrito based off of the ingredients listed on the menu but looking at the receipt after paying and while waiting for the food notice there was pico and yellow rice listed. Since those items were not on the main board and I particularly don’t like pico I went up to catch them before they brought the food out. The lady told the person preparing the food so I thought I was good at that point. It comes out with pico still on it. They also got my daughters tacos wrong and forgot my wife’s margarita. The quality of the meat and ingredients were good but there was not very much steak to be had. All in all this place would be great if they could get orders right. We did come up during a busy period and it could be just a one time thing but if you’re a picky eater like me, order with caution.

The food here is amazing. The place is nice and clean and the guac here is to die for. The yellow rice is not so great but that is my only complaint. For 2 platters it costs about 25 $. A must try!

Well today was s disappointing experience, taco salad. First the chicken was terrible greasy, lots of cartilage and some bone. It was actually kind of gross. The service was okay. The food expedite, a he was un interested, not busy and forgot my salsa. Two stars for the decent salsa. I so wish we had a Guapo“s restaurant like Fair Oaks, food is so much better. Please bring to Woodbridge!

It is, seemingly, the same logo as the Guapo’s in Shirlington but, alas, it is not the same. I would not be getting my giant margarita and delicious steak fajitas on a skillet today. This location of Guapo’s specializes in Pollo a la Brasa, also known as rotisserie chicken… also known as Peruvian chicken. This is a pretty good option for chicken if you’re in the area. I enjoy this place because it is all about the chicken AND yucca fries combo for me. The yucca fries are some of the best that I’ve ever had. Forget those thick, starchy, undercooked pieces of yucca that competitors are serving – Guapo’s has golden fried goodness for you! The green sauce is good and spicy. Their Guapo’s sauce wasn’t that great. The cheese pupusa was okay – the cheese was nice and gooey and it looked appealing but it was a bit too greasy which quickly became too soggy. Oh but they still have the same Guapo’s tres leches cake and it is soooo delicious. Hey, so when you go to IKEA, grab as many orders of the yucca fries as you can handle!

Horrible. This isn’t like the Guapos in Shirlington. This is like semi take out greasy crap on a plate. Don’t waste your time when Uncle Julio’s is down the street.

This place gave me heartburn. I ordered the #6 enchilada combo; one chicken, beef, and cheese enchilada. The chicken was bland, the beef was ground, and the cheese was… Well guess you should eat that one first. I have never understood cheese enchiladas and I couldn’t substitute it off my plate. The rice looked amazing but became cold fast and I am certain the beans were canned.

Very tasty! I spent many years in El Paso and had my share of awesome Mexican food. Guapos is close. Chips and Guacamole were superb. Carne asada tacos were served hot with generous steak portions. Came with a very spicy and delicious green sauce. Pinto beans hot and delicious, too. Unfortunately, you have to order them as a side — they are not included in the carne asada order. My wife ordered chicken quesadillas, but received cheese quesadillas instead. When she brought it to their attention, they offered to fix it, or refund the $ 1 difference. She said the cheese quesadillas were superb and kept them, and used the $ 1 towards the tip. Total bill was $ 26 for two, so I would rate the pricing at $$, not the current $. Service was first-rate! 5-stars!

I used to love this place. Cause their price was fair, food was good. However, started my last visit about few months ago, I decided not coming back any more. I used to get three beef tacos, guacamole on side, or a special value meal included soda, pupusa, and ¼ chicken less than $ 10. Not sure they changed the owner or management or what, decorations has been changed, price has went up, the food was still good though. I paid over $ 20 for my beef tacos, guacamolex2 and a soda. Yes, $ 20 for one person. There’s no any value combo any more. So disappointed.

I went here on my first day at a new job. I had never been before so when my new boss suggested it I said sure. I ordered the ¼ chicken. It came with fries and a salad. Honestly I have had better roast chicken from Costco. Maybe it was just the order I got, but it was dry. My fries were cold. The salad was not dressed with anything. Sorry I am not eating plain lettuce. I wish I had taken a picture of that pitiful plate. But it was my first day and I didn’t want my boss to think I was a weirdo. There are plenty of eating options in the Potomac Mills area. This one is off my list.

The Quasi-Healthy-Non-American-Sized-Portion-Eater’s Guide to Guapo’s First of all, if you’re sitting there trying to decide between Guapo’s and Chili’s, stop reading, drive to the airport, and fly to some random South American country for three days(Peru comes to mind). Tell your boss you got sick. You may come back knowing that Guapo’s food isn’t the same as it is in Lima, but at least you’ll have taken the first step toward tiptoeing into adventurous eating, putting you right in step with all us pretentious Unilocalsters who proudly gave up chain eating YEARSAGO. Waaaay before it was cool. Secondly, if you’re a person who always takes home leftovers because portions in restaurants are enough for two of you, then here are some tips: 1. Unless you are starving, the quarter chicken platter is probably too much food, but it is really flavorful and fairly healthy, especially if you substitute plantains for the fries and don’t eat the skin on the chicken.(I learned recently that 90% of the fat in chicken is in the skin. Who’d-a-thunk it? Anyhoo, Guapo’s chicken minus the skin still has great flavor.) 2. If you’re with another light eater, get the half chicken platter and split it. 9 bucks. Can’t beat that with a tortilla. Or a chicken leg. 3. Order a’ la carte. I recommend a taco(it comes with salad) and an order of beans. You’ll be satisfied, not stuffed, and you’ll have spent less than 5 bucks. I work less than a mile from Guapo’s, and it has become a favorite lunch spot. Sure, there may be better char-grilled chicken Peruvian-Mexican places in NoVa, but compared to the other food options in the Potomac Mills area, Guapo’s is at the top.

Not a bad one-stop-shop Latin restaurant. The pollo la brasa is good but not quite as good as Pollo Rico. The tacos are good but not quite as good as La Roca. The papusas were not my favorite. I perfer La Roca. Sometimes, you want tacos and chicken and fried rice at the same time. Come to Guapo’s!

This place has great food and service. I got half a chicken with yuca fries and beans. The yuca fries cost a little more than the regular fries… I think it was like 60 cents more compared to the regular fries. I really liked how the yuca fries were so crispy, but They did not give me enough. I wish I ordered another order of yuca fries– next time I will definitely order extra. They were delicious. I like to dip mine in ketchup, but they have a lot of awesome sauces to choose from. They have a guapos sauce that seems like a mayonnaise based sauce. Oh and you have to make sure you ask for the green sauce. This is spicy, but so flavorful and I like how the green sauce is not over taken by the heat. Instead, you can add a lot of flavor to your meal with the green sauce. It’s nice because you go and order your food and you can take your number to the table and the staff will bring your food out for you.

LOVED having dinner at Guapos. Was going to a concert at a church in Woodbridge and a friend recommended Guapos for dinner before the concert. It’s not fancy — order at the counter, have a seat, they bring your food out. Prices are pretty cheap. Service was fine — a little lackluster, not much enthusiasm, but polite and prompt. I thought the food was delicious. I’m a little nervous about trying new places like this because I get terrible migraine headaches from MSG, but NO headache here. I look forward to my next excuse to go to Woodbridge so I can go back to Guapos.

Good stuff. Mind blowing? No, but still tasty. Whenever I’m in the mood to visit Potomac Mills Mall, I like eating here. It’s close by, affordable, and you leave with plenty of leftovers. Employees are quick and friendly for the most part. Every once in awhile you may come across some not so friendly service. I feel like everyone is overworked and underpaid. Restaurant is clean for the most part. On occasion you may come across a very dirty table. Plenty of seating is available and restrooms are clean. Once you order your food at the cashier, you are given a number card. When your food is ready, it’s brought to your table along with napkins and silverware. Menu has a nice variety of items. They have plenty of authentic dessert and drink options. Portions are generous. All Combos include a soda, which is nice. Rotisserie chicken is juicy and tender. The skin is slightly crisp. Seasoning is a bit light. It’s not my favorite rotisserie chicken in VA but still A-OK. I love side items and Guapos has lots of it. They have this dish called Chaufa Rice that tastes just like fried rice. Yum. Their complimentary sauces are also greatly appreciated. They are placed right beside the soda machines. It’s a no frills type joint.
