bagels are delicious! Always get a good breakfast sandwich there. However – the owner needs to stop talking down to her staff in front of customers. Also, their system of ordering, waiting, paying needs to improve. They ALWAYS take forever! Order well in advance but know, you’ll still have to wait a while.

Delicious and always fresh. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Taylor ham egg and cheese on a roll– ALWAYS hits the spot!

I can’t stand this place. There’s always a line full of confused people because the setup inside is awful, you have no idea who has ordered and who is waiting. And on top of that in this small space you can find the owner sitting on her laptop next to a pile of papers on a folding table taking up valuable space. Get an office ! And help out instead ! The food takes a long time, 2 bagel sandwiches expect 10 – 15 minutes. And I have had more than 2 orders messed up. Not worth the hassle for a Saturday or Sunday morning bagel. Bagels aren’t huge, portions aren’t huge. But it does taste good. That’s all that keeps it from 1 star.

I just had a classic Ruben witch was amazing. Tasted magnificent!!! Fresh, simple and attentive to details. The pastrami, the melted cheese, the dressing etc. Excellent sandwich. I had a bagel to try too French toast they said .not so good hence the lost star !

They have a variety of bagels that most places don’t offer. They are hit or miss. I just had a whole wheat everything bagel and it was kind of hard. However, the bagel was covered with all of the seasonings which was great. Again, variety of bagels but no signs to go with them so who knows what they really are. Could definitely run better.

Terrible service. Terrible bagels. Long wait for subpar bagel. Delivery took to long. Bagel was hard as rock.

I was looking for a good bagel place close to my job and found this one. The bagels here are usually great. One day they were appalling and I couldn’t eat them. They tasted more like Dunkin Donuts bagels, but drier, and they changed the seasoning that’s usually on their everything bagels that makes them great. I hate how nothing is labeled. I think it would make things go smoother and faster but they don’t like doing that here. As the other reviewers have stated, it’s a bizarre place. Extremely awkward all the time. Sometimes 8 confused people behind the counter doing all kinds of things, bumping into each other, but serving the people waiting at the counter. I always get bagels with nothing on them and often get served by 3 – 4 people and it takes them over 5 minutes to grab some bagels. I’d give it 4 stars if the staff and place was more organized.

Ordered a salad and the lettuce is kept out exposed laying out on the back counter. If you look closely there are little gnats flying all around it. When I got back to work was not surprised to find two or three of them in my food. The salad looked great but threw the whole thing in the trash.

So, typically I love this place but call me weird, i don’t like ketchup on my breakfast sandwich. With that said, they use they same knife to cut multiple sandwiches a good majority of the time. When I say please don’t use the same knife on my and my wife’s sandwich they look at me like I have 3 heads. Low and behold, ketchup from the knife on my bagel. To some his may be silly, but as a paying customer, that gives the heads up when placing my order, I want my food the way I want. I think the staff is friendly and that Sharon is pretty awesome but simply can’t give it 5 stars being a simple request is not followed multiple times…

Horrible. I got simple bagel with cream cheese and the bagel was disgusting. My boyfriend got bacon egg cheese and he ended up throwing it out. And we aren’t picky eaters but it tasted like cardboard. Would never go back.

Got food poisoning from here, beware. The food previously has been reasonably good. Service is also fine. I’ve ordered various bagels and bagel sandwiches. However, it’s not worth the risk, and I’d advise others to be weary as well.

Great bagels and breakfast sandwiches. They have a pretty varied breakfast and lunch menu for a small bagel spot. Problem here is the physical set up. They need a larger spot. They even have a business desk on the public floor bc I’m assuming they are pressed for space even in the back. It gets so disorganized and tight when it’s busy(which is always since the sandwiches are tasty). They should invest in a new location.

I’m writing a review on behalf of a 3 year old. OMG… my daughter(and the rest of the family) loves these bagels. She loves ordering plain with CC for her and mommy to share. Although by share she means mommy gets one bite. I’m not sure what’s in the recipe for these bagels, but if only they could add veggies since we eat them so often. This place is very family friendly, located in the heart of town and overall a great establishment. Visited often by the locals, but loved by all. MGA

Bagels are delicious! Friendly, efficient staff. I’d recommend the bacon and egg whites on and everything bagel. Try their lunch menu as well.

My experience here is always ruined by the crappy customer service provided by the cashier. His attitude is terrible as is his lack of communication. The owner and the rest of her staff are extremely hard working and it’s surprising she keeps a guy like that in such an involved position.

I don’t know what happened to this place, but my fiancé and I just had a horrible experience here. We waited almost 15 minutes for 2 everything bagels with NOTHING on them. Simple order, right? No. We stood there waiting and waiting. There were absolutely no other customers waiting, yet 5 employees were there just standing around. How difficult is it to cut a bagel in half and give to the customer??! Apparently that takes 15 minutes. Oh and by the way, we asked for 2 everything bagels sliced, not chopped and quartered. After all this waiting, they finally announced«oh by the way, we only have one everything from bagel, so you want something else?». I could have gone to the diner down the street and already been eating. Service =horrible. I’ll drive out of my way to go somewhere else next time.

I asked for a Crunch Breakfast Sandwich & they make me a wrap instead… seriously don’t know what’s so hard taking an order, especially when you only have one other customer waiting for their food. I’m giving them one star because this isn’t my first incident with this place. I love to support local business but this is sad when you can’t make a simple order not just simple but when I’m the only customer & still get the order wrong. So I’m done & rather just save money & make me own food at home.

Meh. Food tastes OK, but get there early just as the bagels are coming out. Also, if you don’t want too much egg or meat on your sandwiches, this place is perfect.

On some of the bleakest winter mornings that saw me staring down an hour long commute on the Garden State Parkway, a bagel from KJB was often times the one argument in favor of getting out of bed. When your life is that depressing(and if you’re living in central New Jersey, there’s a good chance it is) then Dunkin Donuts and their cardboard-based bagels are not going to cut it. KJB is the best alternative that I knew of. Because of this, I used to go here really often(almost daily at one point) and have some great insights about this place. Ah, wait, that’s not going to cut it. Here like to present it in new-media garbage format: See Below for 10 Ways You Won’t Believe You Can Make Why Knot Just Bagels Change Your Life 1. Egg & Cheese on a(insert bagel or bread variety here) is probably the best thing they do and it stomps on the competition of DD or other local diners’ take on it. 2. It’s usually worth the wait to have them toast your bagel. 3. Their take home cream cheeses are REALLY good. The cinnamon-raisin walnut cream cheese is an absolute hidden gem. 4. Coffee is meh, but it’s still better than what’s at your office. 5. As others have mentioned there is kind of an Arabian street market feel to the service here. I found it charming. They always got it right for me, but they always have a frantic vibe behind the counter. Anyway, the point is, do yourself a favor and call in your order ahead of time for pickup. You’ll be happy you did. 6. The head bagel lady here seems to run her staff of misfits with a firm, but friendly hand. The owner /staff are also mostly Jets fans– they need all the support they can get. 7. The«deli» part of their operation has got to be mediocre at best. I’ve stood on lines there without my phone in hand and had plenty of time to inspect the various offerings behind the glass. None of that stuff would really entice me to come in if they weren’t nailing the bagel shop aspect. 8. Drink selection is decent, but I wish they had more energy drinks or fresh iced coffee option. They really should have iced coffee though. That’s the one glaring omission from this place. 9. You can eat-in, but it’s a pretty small shop. Not a criticism, just an observation. If you’re counting on eating in, better make sure it’s not peak hours. 10. There used to be a blonde girl with a big tattoo on the top of her chest that worked there. She was my favorite. A friend of my friend got her number outside of the bagel place and I was really annoyed he was that lucky. I should have tried to get her number, but it’s hard to tack that kind of request on to «and I’ll have pepper on that.» This is totally irrelevant of course, but I have to stretch a little to reach 10 here, guys.
