Non Stop Service Center Towing Lock & Key

These guys are my go to Mechanic and have been for the last few years. I wanted to be sure everyone knows how fabulous they are, and why. It is obvious they care about the customer, not a check. This is a long review, BUT it includes specific examples of their excellence!
The first time we came here, it was to remedy a problem with my husbands car, made by another shop. A friend of ours does some mechanical work, and disagreed with news we got from a competitor and told us to call Non Stop. The other local place had recently done work, and more issues arose within days. As it turned out, the repair the other place had done was done incorrectly. Billy and Bobby diagnosed the new issue, fixed it for under 100 bucks, and pointed out the VERY major mistake the competitors had made. When the other place tried to balk on it, and deny their faults, they called the owner and talked to him for us and suddenly the other place was giving us a refund and new parts for Billy to put on!
Another time, I was told I needed a new transmission by a transmission specialist. It would have cost me close to $ 1400! I took it to Non Stop for a second opinion, and explained to them, as I was out of work at the time, there was no way I could make that happen. Bobby said he had an idea, and would call me the next day. When I got the call I was dreading the news, and he informed me he was able to repair the tranny for under $ 200. Repair it. NOT replace it. They also, at the time, noticed a small radiator leak, and patched it, for free, until I could save to get a new one put in. The patch lasted me 5 months.
Most recently, the heater core went out in my van. Normally that is an expensive repair, but there is a workaround you can use as a temp fix. I was aware of this thanks to my dad having been a mechanic. When they called to tell me it was the core I was prepared to ask about the work around, but I never got the chance. They offered to do the work around right off the bat, so I can save up for the new heater core all summer. What other shop turns away money? None.
My best friend once drove all the way from Richmond for them to give her a second opinion on a repair her local Mineke had given. Turned out all she needed was to tighten her gas cap.
Honest, fair, and in budget. Who could ask for anything more in a shop?
