As someone who travels with their dog/dogs over the years I often have to stay at «Choice Hotels» I’ll keep this to east coast and off if I-95 as I post this for fellow dog travelers and possibly for«Choice Hotels» to learn?! I sometimes book ahead & sometimes from my car. Either way has always been easy and on the phone cheap which is what they should call themselves but I digress. I will say whenever I call while it does take a few to reach someone, they are always helpful, super friendly and will always search for the best rate. As is the case last night as I booked ahead for a different city in a different state and the customer service person was super great and even got me the same rate, got me out of the booked hotel and did so effortlessly. And then I arrived! The night desk person is either super friendly or hates life! No, not just here but universally and that’s ok, I get it, when it’s 4am and I roll into PO-dunk no where but this was a Saturday night at about 8−9pm and this«front desk person“‘not only did he have zero personality but was rude, dismissive and unhelpful and unwilling to look anything up. When I called with a question about the tv? He said«there’s a book in the room for me to look it up» So my $ 72.00 room he said will be with tax? $ 124.00! Well, I do have the confirmation for $ 72.00 plus tax I thought someone might want to know!
