Looking for a quick lunch and stopped in. Shared the carne asada plate and a chicken quesadilla. Both were delicious! The side of beans and rice was pretty great too. Be sure to try the Peruvian dipping sauce.

Peruvian chicken is my favorite, love the chicken! The yukA is okay but a little dry. Their green sauce isn’t spicy enough, but the white sauce is good!

Ricky’s Chicken is a great local Chicken place! The prices are cheap and the orders come in fast. I ordered the Chicken Tenders and fries and they were both very good. This is definitely a place I would go to even before Nando’s! The only issue I have with this place is the cleanliness of the store. A few of the ceiling tiles need to be replaced and the floor needs a deep mopping. Other than that this place is good! I think they would do good enough to expand to that bigger corner store right in between the L&B and the Hair Cuttery!

I haven’t found a good place for pupusas in the woodbridge area until now. They have really good chicken and their white dipping sauce is delicious. The ¼ chicken comes with 2 sides, I get the yuca and the rice and it is very filling. Its probably a little expensive but you would pay the same amount for a #1 at McDonalds and definitely a lot better quality! The place is small and looks dirty but they keep the place clean. Not much space for a lot of people. Very Spanish, they even have novelas playing on the TV but if you are looking for authentic food, you should really stop by.

This is a great place for excellent food. The taste is excellent and the customer service is friendly. They take care of the customer. Always busy from the time I walked into the store until leaving it was busy. This is a hidden secret and should be known to the Virginia Residents to come and get it at Ricky’s

Great service and food. You can smell the chicken cooking as soon as you pull up. The other dishes are good too, but definitely try the chicken first. The flan is a great dessert.

Excellent chicken, generous sides, and they have many many more menu options to choose from – perfectly tender chicharones and yuca are my favorite! This is an excellent takeout spot for this side of town. Definitely call ahead, it’s a small place with a relatively small staff. If you’re not familiar with the area, this is located in the same plaza as the Mapledale Giant, in the standalone cluster on the left.

This has been one of our favorite places to get takeout for years. The chicken is always juicy and perfectly seasoned, the sauces are tasty and the price is right. We like the yuca and the rice as sides, and sometimes the platano frito, always a delicious and satisfying meal! Tip: order takeout at the counter rather than calling ahead; that way you are getting chicken right out of the rotisserie and yuca fresh out of the fryer.

I have never eaten the chicken I always get the Lomo Saltado which I really like. So sorry I can’t comment on the quality of the chicken. The place is very small I think about 6 tables and on the times I have went it was always crowded. There was steady stream of customers of various nationalities purchasing food. The majority of the staff(the ones I have encountered) are working on their English so if you place an order over the phone, please be PATIENT with them. They are very nice(especially the guy) and friendly to me as well as the people in the place. In terms of the food the meat was cooked perfectly as well as the fries. They weren’t too soggy as I have encountered at other places when getting this meal to go. The rice and sauce is yummy and I must agree with the other Unilocaler about the peas! As you can see in my pic, I think I had half of one in my meal! Onions were nice and sweet also. I always get the rice pudding which is yummy but they were out of it on this day :(. They also have a good selection of various juices and sodas. I usually order over the phone and when I arrive it’s always hot and ready. On the one time when I ordered in person by the time I went to the bathroom, bank, and back my food was ready. I don’t know about the chicken but if you like steak and /or Lomo I’d def give them a try!

My first foray into peruvian chicken was in college when Ricky’s Chicken first opened up. Maybe it was because it was my first taste, maybe it’s because I havn’t tried any better, or maybe it’s because whoever is preparing this food sold their sould to the devil but this is the best peruvian chicken on the east coast! The sauces are addicting, send the rice by the truckfull to my house, and the chicken… I need this in my mouth right now. The inside is nothing to brag about. Standard café type setting. Futbol on the tv. Inca Cola stacked to the ceiling. I usually get takeout anyways. Also, what’s up with the random peas in peruvian rice? Does each store just buy 200 peas for the entire year and ration it accordingly? Step up the pea game. TL;DR Peruvian chicken at it’s finest.

I really wanted to like this place. I really did. And, on the bright side, the staff was friendly, the menu had a good selection, and the portion sizes were generous. However, the chicken just wasn’t good. It was very dry. The fries were also a bit cold.

Below average chicken. Not juicy at all, kind of dry. Yuca tasted dry like it had freezer burn.

We dined in and saw how busy this place was with take out orders. The plantains seemed to be a hit as a side order here. The roasted chicken deserves three stars. It was pretty good; tender and nicely flavored although I agree with another reviewer that El Pollo Rico might be a touch better. The yucca we ordered was also fine. The carne asada looked fabulous the seasonings made it seem like someone had confused salt for all other spices known to man. We tried pairing bites of the steak with the rice, tortilla, and both sauces but could not mellow out the over-salt. Finally, we complained about how salty the steak was. The guy behind the counter insisted there was nothing they could do about the marinade. Yet, to their credit they prepared another steak with marinade rinsed off.
