I had the carne asada tacos and mostly fat very little meat. The food quality not that great and I there are far better Mexican restaurants.

Great place with authentic food and great service. Management is so nice and friendly and makes sure service is up to par. Also, a great place for friends and family to have a good time and good food. Will gladly come back after my next visit.

Came here tonight for an actual sit down dinner since I normally do take-out. I am sad to say that I will NEVER come back for even take out. The music is SOOUTOFCONTROLLOUD and management just DOESN’T CARE. I asked several times if it could be turned down and the waitresses(with their eyes in agreement) said they would say something. Nothing ever happened. Again, I went up and talked to the women at the counter about lowering the music. I wish I could explain to you how loud it is but I can’t. It’s so loud you can’t hear someone talking to you 1 foot away. They again asked the DJ(if that’s what you want to call the one seriously drunk guy with a laptop and microphone who sings karaōke) to lower it. This«DJ» starts telling me that the music isn’t too loud and that they won’t lower it because the crowd likes it. I point out that the the table that just left minutes ago had a girl with her fingers in her ears(seriously she did) and that the restaurant is empty now except for one other table, us. I wonder why? They obviously didn’t care because nothing was ever lowered and my attempts to reason with the«DJ» only made him more belligerent. I should have listened to other reviewers who wrote about this volume issue. I just can’t believe with 2 tables left in the restaurant, management wouldn’t show me any respect. I know I’m just talking about music but if this place disregards simple requests about music levels then I know they aren’t treating my food with respect and I don’t want a bite of that!

Terrible! Ordered some milanesa tortas and they were the worse i’ve ever had. This place used to be so good but have really slipped. Food is subpar.

This place is too expensive!!! Granted, I am a born and bred Texan so good Mexican food is in abundance, but come on, $ 72 dollars for 2 adults and 2 children!!! They also added automatic grat. to our bill for a table of 4! Never in my life have I gone out for Mexican food and paid $ 72 bucks for 2 adults and 2 kids. The tacos were good, but definitely not $ 72 good! 3 beers 6 tacos total 1 shared order of rice and beans 1 bowl of menudo 2 children’s plates In TX you can get an order of 5 tacos and a bowl of charro beans for $ 5 bucks! The prices here were crazy to me. I gave them 2 stars because our waitress was really nice, and the food was good, but there is no way we will be back for those prices! Too bad, we were really hopeful:/

As a native Southern CA boy, there is nothing worse than being in a place like Northern Virginia for three months because people here have no clue what authentic Mexican food is. I was lost one day and noticed a dumpy restaurant with peeling paint and a few locals sitting out front. My radar immediately went up as anyone with good sense knows that a place that trashy has to be good. I couldn’t have been more correct with my assessment. I felt like I was back home in So. CA eating street tacos and Tortas. And if you like spicy, you will love the red salsa that is brought out with the meal. My nose was running and my forehead was dripping with sweat when I finished eating it. Anything with the al pastor pork is worth ordering. The tacos are excellent and the Tortas have the type of bread you expect from an authentic restaurant. Just to make sure I wasn’t off base I brought 20 of my California co-workers to the restaurant last night and they were in agreement on the authenticity of the food. And with such a large group the service was still excellent.

My boyfriend was skeptical based on the outside of the restaurant. As soon as he took his first bite, he quickly changed his mind. The chicken is tender and juicy with tons of fresh flavor. I had 2 chicken Rico Tacos(corn tortillas with just chicken, cilantro, onions and fresh squeezed lime) and 1 chorizo Rico Taco. The chorizo was good but not as good as the chicken. Go here if you are at Potomac Mills one day and craving some delicious Mexican. It’s worth it.

A bit racist. Ordered carne asada, brought out a t-bone steak, didnt taste like steak, no meat and mostly bone, bloody. We told the waitress, she said would you like something else. Got dessert– flan because wasnt hungry anymore. She said the manager took the flan off the bill. We paid $ 16 for 4 bites of steak and didnt eat the white lettuce, refried beans and«uncle ben’s» rice they have on the side. Wasn’t worth it. Just wasnt a good experience. Especially with the waitresses staring the whole meal too.

This was my second time visiting this establishment. I really wanted to love it but instead I like it a little and most likely will not be back. Their food is pretty good;(probably a 3.5) however, the prices are inflated and serving sizes are quite small in comparison to what you are paying. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that route 1 is a pricey street in terms of rent, etc. so that’s why they over-charge their customers. Visit 1: I was really craving a quesadilla so I ordered a chicken quesadilla. It cost me about 8 something with tax but it was super disappointing. I didn’t think it was good at all — I would rate is a 1⁄5. I also ordered an Horchata and I almost got diabetes. I seldom return items from restaurants like this but I had to say something. It was TOOSWEET. I simply replaced it with«freshly made» mango juice and that was a disappointment too but I wouldn’t say anything twice. I just dealt with it. Visit 2: I don’t know why I came here again. I was looking for local central American food and found myself here. I was so close to ordering a few tacos which were about $ 2.50 each(not too bad) but instead because I wanted sides, etc. I ordered carne asada and my friend, being a vegetarian with limited options ordered a cheese quesadilla(why, again). I should probably slap myself for that but I digress. The order was to-go and I had told them I wanted the meat cooked medium. I also asked if we could get some chips and salsa to munch on while we waited for the food but they refused(meanwhile there were uneaten chips and salsa on several tables nearby but made a big deal to bring us some since we weren’t dining in). When I get home and open my order and noticed the T-bone was extra hard — HARD as a rock –so hard it could probably chip some teeth. I ended up calling them to order a new one because I wasn’t paying $ 16-$ 17 for something I wouldn’t eat. But they were nice enough to offer to make me a new one(I almost gave them a 3 for that purpose only, and then I remembered how they looked at me when I brought my food back). But at the same time I’ve never experienced such awkwardness and dirty looks while going to pick up a new meal and they made me return my original too since they would’ve just thrown it away, I couldn’t just given it to my damn dog. This establishment is way too much for me and I won’t be back ever! I’ve definitely learned my lesson. Second time is a charm — always.

House salsa was excellent. The tray of hotter sauces, limes, and radishes was also very good. Only disappointments were that the chimichangas are pretty small and the cheese sauce they pour over it is like cheez whiz so it only makes it taste salty after a few bites. Also, several of the complimentary chips were stale. However, the lengua tacos were awesome, especially with their house salsa! Service was also a good experience.

First time I came to this place bc the place we go for tacos was full. Service was good, the only thing was that it took a while for us to get out food. I ordered the steak tacos and chorizo taco which really actually pretty good! I like home made tortillas, these were not home made but they were still really good. I ordered 4 and I actually got stuffed with 3! I gave it a 4 bc of the wait.

Great food. Exceptionally friendly staff. Lots of locals(I asked them) with smiles on their faces. Carnitas, beans, Carne asada, and mitchaladas were delicious. TVs were on with a soccer match so that was nice. We’ll be back for sure, especially when the US plays Mexico.

Food is about as authentic as you’re going to get in Woodbridge, VA. However, the prices vs portions are out of control. $ 3 for a street taco isn’t very«authentic.» I also paid $ 9 for a chicken burrito that was about a half an inch thick(essentially a quesadilla rolled up into a tube).

My girlfriend and I stopped by last night and had a great meal! We had driven by for years and because we love new adventures we took the plunge! Glad we did! It was very authentic! We were in Mexico for an hour! Language, music, food, etc… I had couple beer cocktails(michelada’s) for the first time and was hooked! Enchiladas and tacos were outstanding and not same olé cookie cutter crap you get at the chains! The sauces they bring to the table were tasty and hot! The salsa tasted and looked homemade! A plus! Service was great! The décor reminded us both of the typical little eatery actually in Mexico! We will definitely go back! Don’t let the outside turn you away, the food and service on the inside was muy bueno!!! BTW I am typical gringo and my girlfriend is Puerto Rican!!!

Some time after this restaurant took over from a Vietnamese owner, we were going to give it a shot. My wife and I love authentic Mexican food, and were looking forward to our lunch. As I pulled into the lot, we had to wait for the large crowd of day laborers to move so we could park. I didn’t give it much thought nut

I have read the below, not just what its all about… I was not impressed at all. Service was the worst, and the food was just okay… talked to the manager, not really complaining to much but saying«you know it could have been a lot better»… and he said«thanks for your concern» and walked away. Will not go back.

Found this place by accident and I’m truly glad I did! Was driving from NYC to Jacksonville, FL on I-95 and found myself a’hungering around exit 158. Wanting Mexican food and seeing a highway sign for Taco Bell, I took the exit. Fortuitously, I missed the TB, driving right past it and easily found Ricos Tacos Moya instead. What a blessing! On first visit, I gave them the patented Steve M Taco & a Torta Test. The torta was okay, with a respectable bolito, but the spread of beans, paltry portion of res milaneza and other fillings was sadly lacking. Everything was there and it was all very good, there just wasn’t enough of it all. The taco, on the other hand was incredible! The carnitas that were on this traditional doubled, grilled corn tortilla with its customary chopped onion and cilantro garnish were outstanding. Some of the best carnitas I’ve ever tasted in my long, Illustrious career of carnitas eating! A tray of hot red sauce, green sauce, sliced radishes and fresh and juicy lime wedges accompanied in the traditional manner. When I returned weeks later, I decided upon the alambres fortachon. Ham, chicken, onions, peppers, cheese and a bunch of other stuff grilled up and served with a few steamed flour tortillas. I’ve had this at other Mexican restaurants and it’s a dish I enjoy a lot. When it came out, my heart sunk. It looked like crap and seemed very small. When I dug in however, the taste completely blew my mind! It was SO good! I was absolutely stuffed when I was done too, so the looks, both taste and size-wise were VERY deceptive! Only thing negative I can find to mention about this place is, it’s VERYLOUD in there. First time in, it was the blasting juke box, second time in, it was the World Cup. The place ALWAYS seems to be hopping with activity, no matter what time or day you happen to visit. I guess that’s a good thing, really. All I know, is whenever I find myself passing by(which is often), you’ll find me in there chowing down on some very respectably toothsome Mexican grub!

This is exactly what I hoped it would be. There are only a handful of authentic Mexican restaurants in Northern Virginia, most of the real ones that actually serve Mexicans in the DC-area are in the Bladensburg area of Prince George’s County. So this is a great find. To start, the complimentary salsa and warm chips were excellent. I ordered some house made mango juice and it was outstanding, I was tempted to order extra to take home. As for the food, I tried three tacos: al pastor, chorizo and pollo. All were fantastic and the variety was nice. The tacos also came with a green and red salsa, and some limes.
