Safeway Food & Drug

Pros:
It’s close.
Cons:
The selection is very low.
The fruits and vegetables are both over priced and undersized and old.
The place has an off oder when you walk in.
Dirty bathrooms.
My family has been ripped off countless times when purchasing from here. Double, even triple check the advertised price and what it rings up as. My mother has to make a return trip at least ⁴⁄₅ times when she shops at this Safeway.

This place has really gone down hill in the past couple of years. It seems like as soon as they closed that Giant down the street, all hell broke loose. My parents live in the area, so I sometimes pick up a couple of items before I head back home. Well not at this place anymore.
A couple of years ago, I saw a man getting naked in the bread aisle, right near the yogurt and butter. I told myself it was an isolated incident up until now, and that the store was still OK to shop in. I realize now that this is when their demise started. Although I haven’t seen anything like it since, the store is not as clean and well kept the way it used to be. I only recommend this Safeway store if you just need to pick up one item or two.

I have to say it… The entire store smells like old seafood! Wegmans is by far my favorite grocery (possibly store period) store and Safeway is what I would call a «quickie».
