I’m at Denny’s right now & I just had to review it. We got seated & got our drinks first, it’s kind of empty not a lot of people. We waited around 15 minutes for someone to take our order & my boyfriend had to ask if someone could take our order or else we probably would still be waiting. Atleast they brought our food out fast

Disgusting food, horrible service! I am staying at the Best Western next door so this was a handy walk across the parking lot. The Best Western is great. Denny’s not much. One plus — they have wine. Although one choice in each category — white, red. Ordered quesadilla. Simple enough, right! It was mostly oversized pieces of onion and peppers and some meat. Whatever cheese they used is unidentifiable. I have been finished for at least 15 minutes and still no one has come by to check if I want dessert or to pay my bill! This place reinforces why I don’t eat in chain restaurants. Tonight I had no other option!!!

Got sick before I left the restaurant, traveling from Wa. to Ca. Stopped for food. Big mistake. And it was so clean. My husband and I were very patient about the slooow service. Glad we were on our way home and not starting our vacation. Oregon does have very nice rest stops, we HAD to stop at most of them. Never again will we eat at Denny’s. Only sorry I can’t give Zero stars.

Living in Woodburn give very little choice in eating out unless you want Mexican Food(which by the way, is the best here). I really wanted a veggie burger and good fries but didn’t want to drive to Wilsonville so we went to Denny’s for our first time. We’ve been living here a year and a half and I just assumed it was an old restaurant and not good. We were so pleasantly surprised! The greeting was warm and the restaurant is clean! The waiter was attentive, friendly and efficient. My veggie burger was delicious and the fries were extra crispy as I asked. My husband said his turkey sandwich was delicious, also. We will go back!

I am rating this as a Denny’s not a 5 star restaurant. I was apprehensive about having dinner in a Denny’s but I did not have a car and it was my only option. I walked in and was promptly seated. I ordered the senior chicken fried steak. It came with a choice of salad, vegetables, and potato of choice. It also came with 2 rolls. I ordered a glass of wine. The service was VERY good. The restaurant was clean. My food fresh and hot. Salad was crisp! Wow a Denny’s? YEP! I would come back. There are on the stick here!

I have nothing good to say about my experience at this Denny’s. When my family and I got there around 8:20pm, it was almost empty. We were seated and the waitress took our order and brought us our drinks. We didn’t see her again near our table for the rest of the visit. Other tables began to fill up, order, and receive their meals, while my family and I didn’t even get so much as a drink refill. We waited over 40 minutes before deciding we had enough. We went to pay for our drinks. My dad told the cashier what happened and he rolled his eyes and gave us the drinks for free. Apparently, our waitress never even put in our order. I would never come back to this Denny’s again.

I stopped by on my way to CA, the place was packed and I sat at the counter right in front of the kitchen. Several servers got me a water, menu and another took my order. I could see that they only had one cook and the manager walked back and started cooking with the cook, all the servers were pitching in helping each other with orders and taking food out, all the while with a very happy attitude. I felt like I was witnessing a family in action. I really enjoyed watching the great team work. My order was delicious and I was surprised how tasty it was. I watched the manager as he helped out and be so happy doing his job. I have been to several Denny’s and I am usually not too impressed with the food or the service, but I found this one to really be above and beyond any of the Denny’s I went to.

After a long long long day of shopping at the Woodburn Outlets, we were hungry for some immediate food — whatever was nearby before we made the hour drive back to portland. Without doing our Unilocal homework we got what we deserved. This place is perfect if you like to hear your waitress complain to her co-workers about crappy customers while you wait for service, staring and waiving at her to get her attention. In the end I got a stomach ache, didn’t finish my meal, and my GF got sick from her meal. Food quality 3⁄10 Service 2⁄10 Health 1⁄10

Not disappointed. Wife and I stopped by at midnight, ordered some food, they put into very sturdy to go box, and it was delicious! Can’t ask for much more than that.

You know what? This Denny’s really brought their A-game. You can’t go wrong with a big old plate of eggs and hash browns. I had the chicken fried steak which aside from the bland gravy was really pretty good. We got good service too. It’s not my first choice for eating out but I didn’t mind it like I thought I was going to.

Quality of service varies here. Today I received good customer service, the previous three visits were terrible customer service. Unfortunately I’m in a conundrum — sometimes I just want to go out for a breakfast outing my family here in Woodburn, but don’t want to leave town(I live in Woodburn). There are basically three options: 1) Shari’s — always good customer service but their breakfast menu is not so great 2) Elmer’s — every time I go here I feel out of place. I always get the feeling that this place is catered to seniors. Plus the food is so-so. 3) and finally, there’s Denny’s. Great menu options but customer service usually sucks. To add, the food is usually mediocre, sometimes even flavorless. But I keep going back due to lack of other options. It is true when people say«let’s go to the *good* Denny’s» as Denny’s locations do vary with quality of service and food just like any other restaurant chain. I have been to great Denny’s throughout the Portland-metro area and experience 4+ star quality service and food. Even though I go on breakfast outings only once every few months, I always run into this issue with Denny’s — fair to poor customer service and food to match that reputation.

I had been driving nearly 7 hours straight and decided to stop here close to midnight for a pit-stop before continuing a long road trip back up to Seattle. Normally I’m more of a Shari’s and IHOP fan when it comes to chain diners but alas, Denny’s was open and close by. I think it deserves a positive Unilocal review because the waitstaff were completely nice! I mean, almost in a suffocating way. My waitress was really thoughtful and sent me off with a free coffee to go after I told her I had a long drive north. The bathrooms were clean and nothing was broken or out of supply so that’s a good sign. The food is Denny’s food, nothing to write home about, but based on the service alone I don’t have any negative things to say. Four stars.

I ate at this«Denny’s» in Woodburn, OR on 8÷16÷2012. It was my first time there. I had one of their special sandwiches which came with mashed potatoes and gravy — it was outstanding as was the service here.

Denny’s is a staple of almost any town. Denny’s is like an old friend, there when you need them and there when you don’t. Always open and always ready to feed you. Woodburn Denny’s is one of the smaller Denny’s I have seen. They have been re-modeling the whole place. They are done now and it looks very nice. The bar area is amazing too. The food is always good and the service it okay. If they are super busy expect to wait a little. If it’s slow you will be served fast. That’s how it works in ever restaurant. If you eat that this one lot get a punch card, after 5 meals the 6 is on them.

I feel like this place is unfairly rated. I’m trying to compensate with the 5 star review. People, you have to review it for what it is. You’re not going to some frou-frou dining establishment – it’s Denny’s. Denny’s was there for us when we needed them. We arrived in town late(9pm) and weren’t feeling the nearby fast food establishments. We’ve had an array of experiences with various Denny’s, and this one is among the top of the list. It was clean, had friendly service, a short wait for food, and decent food all for a great price. I had the Club Sandwich and my hubby had the Grand Slamwhich. I would recommend both.

Let me set the scene for you, Unilocalers… The night before Christmas Eve. Swirling snow, lights sparkling in the distance, talking to loved ones on the phone, journeying through life. Ah, the festive holiday season. But wait, let me start over. What if the swirling snow were drifting around the cars and trucks parked on I-5 south of Portland, skidding and slipping over the inches-high ruts of ice on the interstate? What if the sparkling lights were the desperate signals of vehicles just wishing, hoping, they could be moving at five m.p.h. instead of zero? What if you were talking to loved ones on the phone in a frantic attempt to find someone, anyone, with an Internet connection to tell you what interstate hotel might actually have a room in the middle of an ice storm? What if the journey had actually begun two days earlier in sunny La Jolla, when your travel companion, on hearing you had a canceled San Diego-Seattle flight that was rebooked for Christmas night, had the bright idea to get home for Christmas by driving from La Jolla to Seattle? When you could have been spending three extra days instead in, well, La Jolla? You get the picture… and enter Denny’s. After snagging one of the last hotel rooms in Woodburn, Oregon, and inching the car over ice into a sort-of parking space, by 10:30 at night we were starving, stressed, and in need of food. Fortunately, Denny’s was only a few steps away. Steps to be taken carefully through the ice and slush, but steps nonetheless. The lobby was filled with other road refugees. Hot topic of conversation? I-5, snow, ice, you take your pick. The wait for a table? About thirty minutes. Desperation settling in like an icy… never mind. By the time we were seated, my travel companion was descending into chills and fever from the stress. We had to wait another thirty minutes to get our food. A turkey sandwich, and a grilled chicken salad. Believe me, it took some perusing of the menu(more like a grim search, really) to find something to eat. Even the skillets were looking good at that point, but unfortunately they only serve those until 10 p.m. And this was later. A plus: the sandwich was good, and the chicken on the salad was not dry. Move ahead about twelve hours. Yes, twelve… and we’re back at Denny’s again. Snow chains required on I-5. Do we have snow chains with our La Jolla rental car? No. Wal-Mart? Been sold out for a week. And did I mention it is now Christmas Eve Day? It is? At Denny’s for breakfast? Yes. I was horrified to hear myself debate with my companion over whether the Grand Slamwich or the Moon Over My Hammy would be the best culinary choice for the morning. After all, the Slamwich does have a little maple spice topping… When the waitress came back, I heard myself say«Can we have the Slamwich, please?» The horror, the horror… Nevertheless, Denny’s came through when no other restaurant could be there for us, and for that I am thankful. Let me tell you, the staff was super-friendly even on a night when all of their customers looked like zombies from a frozen planet, and they kept our water and coffee filled up. So while I hope to never, ever spend Christmas Eve stuck in a hotel room in Woodburn again, and I mean EVER again, Denny’s nevertheless holds a special place in my heart where I keep my Christmas memories. And nightmares…
