Seems like Cub Foods has lost it’s way for a company that has its roots in warehouse style pricing. This place is overpriced, sometimes so much so that it is actually LESS expensive to buy the item at Kowalskis ! They consistently carry inferior produce in both organic and regular. I Hadn’t been to Cub for many years as a result of this, but received some $ 10.00 of $ 50.00 coupons in the mail, so thought I’d give it another shot. Nope! I even had to justify to Gloria, the cashier, that my 10.00 off coupon was within the correct date range. She honestly had to «check» with a supervisor that the coupon was good even AFTER I had already pointed out to her that the dates were printed at the top of the coupon and her register had already accepted it. Erg.

If you like rotted, moldy, crappy produce come here. Cub has bad produce day in and day out. If coming here skip the produce and go to Aldi it’s way cheaper and way fresher at Aldi. I once went through hundreds of cartons of berries to find mold in every single carton, The last time I bought celery here it was rotted on the inside. Oh and the rotted pears resting above all the other crappy pears was just gross. Cub is part of Supervalu and it is very clear why Supervalu is struggling and on there way out. Great stores like Aldi are raising the bar and places like cub will pay the price.
