A great addition to the area, this corner art shop right in the middle of town really does seem to have something for everyone. The cheerful window displays always catch my eye, and at night driving by I will sometimes see evening painting classes that look fun. We stopped in last weekend to do a little local Christmas shopping. The front of the store is the art room and looks it. There are long tables, supplies for the classes and a homey feel to the place. But venture to the back and you will find a more polished and chic little gift shop! That was our destination and we were not disappointed. We found a nice mix of local artist goods, affordable vintage finds, framed prints, hand-made scarves and little knick-knacky things to buy. We ended up with a lovely necklace made by a local woman, some funny beer bands for a gag gift, a small brass cat statue and the prettiest little glazed plate all for only $ 64. Since we spent over $ 40, they gave us one of their t-shirts as well. They have children’s art classes, painting & wine parties and other classes, plus the place can be rented out for private painting parties etc. I haven’t tried any classes yet, but have heard from a friend who attended that it was a good time. Their schedule is posted online.
