Metric Auto Works

I had them put in a block /​coolant heater in my new TDI Passat that I had bought from a local company that makes them for up here in the northern climates. Metric installed it for me, and it is now a year later with no leaks or problems. They did a great job installing it in a way to hide the plug behind the license plate like I asked them. They also took longer to install it then they had estimated, but were totally cool with eating a bit of time themselves so that they got the experience of installling one on a new 2013 TDI Passat. How freaking cool is that? This place rocks. One last bit of info — if you do some searching in the hard core auto forums on the net — people all say that if you own a VW and live in the East Metro, this is the place to go. Those comments are from guys that do their own hard core engine work — they know what they are talking about.

Been awhile since I’ve had any instruction in German, so the above haiku could be totally botched. My apologies in advance to those who speak German. Hope I did not just have my «I am a Jelly Donut» moment.
I’ve been bringing my car to Metric for the past several years now. They specialize in German imports. After I first got my current vehicle, I started bringing it for maintenance to the dealership. After getting a couple of those bills, decided it was time to find a cheaper (while still competent) alternative. Metric has fit the bill in that regard.
Metric knows what they are doing, and I have spoken with a few autophiles who bring their vehicles here that agree. They do not do auto body work (except for maybe very basic things), but they handle just about everything else.
Staff is always friendly and accommadating. My schedule can change quite quickly, and they have always been very cooperative when I have needed to change my appointment time. Also, when I have needed more than just an oil change, they have have hooked me up with a loaner for the day free of charge with almost nothing in the way of paperwork.
