The food is cheap and plentiful and actually really good… what more can you ask for? I randomly choose this spot with a friend and it was a really good choice. I got myself the seafood rice and it was soooo much that I couldn’t finish it all and I CANEAT!!! The portions are very generous and I will def. come back. My friend ordered the steak covered with onions and it was also really good! He ate is all since it was so good! Must try! And i will come again!

I think the name might have changed to Pollo a la Brasa. I wasn’t paying attention as I decided to look it up after lunching there when visiting a local store. It’s a clean, bright diner serving Latin American plates… chicken, pork, oxtail soup, chirozo, seafoods, etc. in various combinations(rice, beans, fries, plantains, etc). The portions were pretty large but overall nothing wowed me.

Strength Athlete Friendly: 8 out of 10 Bandeja. Need I say more? The Bandeja Tipica might have gotten a bit more expensive, but still worth every penny. Chiharron, chorizo, steak, a poached egg, and maduros… served on top of rice and beans. A powerlifter’s dream meal. AND its appropriate any time, day or night.

Bandejita, $ 7.50. Shell steak, Chicharron, Rice, Beans, and a fried egg. Am I missing anything? Oh hell, who cares? It’s SO much food already. You can’t go wrong with it! Generous portions, friendly staff, delicious food. My only complaint is that we always have to ask for water refills. For my friends and I, that’s a big deal because we all inhale our ice-laden water. Their flan has a very homemade feel to it, which is a good thing, but we’re usually too full after our Bandejitas.

Always wanted to go to this well lit up restaurant on Jamaica ave reminded me of Uptown Lil DR on broadway and 170’s. We street parked, were seated right away. Had a good feeling from the beginning and I was not let down. The Host and the server were very friendly throughout, for drinks I ordered the Lulu juice and Pam had the tropical Juice, both were very good and tastee and bitter, the way it should be… I ordered the ½ chicken and Latin Fried rice$ 5.50, Pam orderd the ½ chicken/ribs .rice n Beans combo $ 8.50. and a side of sweet plantains $ 2.50. All the serving were very good and huge, I had eaten no lunch, so I did finish all the food. For dessert I ordered the flan, which was yummy unline that Kozyshack SHIT one can buy in the grocery store. Pam got herself a Colombian Cappucino which was very good and tastee… –1star for makin me wait for the hot sauce, which was off the SHIZZLe. the green one… Their whole chicken is only $ 7.95 which is a good bargain. Overall a very good experience, very lively well lit restaurant and sweet folks… will definitely try again and maybe up the rating to 5 star
